We have classified the 2 complaints from 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 about ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING into the following categories.
My wife noticed a noise while riding with me and i determined that it was the air conditioners compressor motor. within a few days the motor failed. it is out of warranty and they want $1000.00 to fix it at the dealership. i priced an independent shop and it was over $800. this should not fail at 55,000 miles as over 3/4 of those were driven when no air conditioner was used. it's sad that you pay $40k+ for a vehicle and the main systems fail before the loan is even paid off. i guess it's back to rolling down the windows as $1000 to fix it is not within my budget. *tr
