Called classic chevy in sugarland a year ago asking about getting the airbags replaced. was told i would be called when the parts get in. called again today and was given the same answer. how can this be a safety issue if the parts are never in stock?

This is a complaint about the cracks on my dash around the air bag. over the past month they have grown and gotten worse, one is huge (about 7 inches long) and there's two more pieces in the corner about to fall out and one near the radio. i would just like gm to put a new dash in for free so i can cover it with a carpet dash and not have to worry about it. thanks

I find out that i have a recall for my truck for the airbags. the chevrolet recall personnel stated that there were no results to fix this issue. i can't sell this vehicle with a issue with the airbag. how long will it take general motors to make a decision on a repair for this problem? they've already had since 2016 to make a decision. the answer that i was given is not good enough. i want this fixed.

Takata recall... went to ron carter autoland in alvin, tx. they looked up the vin number and i was told there was no fix for this problem. they handed me the paper that was it.

I first received recall information in the mail pertaining to the airbags on my vehicle at the end of 2017. around the same time the service airbag light on my dashboard appeared and has remained displayed since. i have periodically checked whether a remedy to the recall has been established, but to date there has not been one. i am now seeing commercials for attorney services regarding injuries due to defective airbags in vehicles in my make, model, and year. seeing as my service airbag light is already lit up, i would like to avoid an injury to myself or a passenger in my vehicle.

Takata recall. this notification came in may of 2016 and this is still not resolved? so am i driving around with possibly a defective air bag that might severely injure or even kill me or a passenger? it should not take this long to "remedy" this issue, should have been resolved way before now.

Takata recall the chevrolet dealership has not been able to replace our airbags because they have not received replacements. all they tell me is that they have been waiting for these to be manufactured since 2016!!! so what happens in the meantime? do we drive around with these defective airbags hoping that they don't kill us? no one is giving us answers! the fact that this is dragging on for so long is ridiculous considering someone can be killed or seriously hurt by these airbags.

Takata inflator. air bag light came on, and then truck would not start. took it to the chevrolet dealer and they said the air bag modulator was corroded and needs replaced. that is why it will not start. then found out about the takata recall on air bags.

Takara recall - i took my silverado ro a local dealership ( days chevrolet in acworth, ga). the told me they were not replacing the airbags and gave me a 1800 number and website about the recall. meanwhile honda has replaced the airbags in my brother and fathers cars. how can chevrolet refuse to replace my airbags which could kill me of my passenger in a wreck? please help and make gm fo the right thing and replace my airbags.

Tamara recall, i was told to contact you because jack wilson chevrolet at 2255 us 1, saint augustine, florida. 32086 had told me that they can't fix the airbags in my truck because there are no parts available for the fix and that all we could do was hope the government would get involved.

Takata recall my vehicle is listed as a recall due to the air bags. called a dealer and was told: "gm has performed their own tests and found nothing wrong with them. therefore there is no solution to replacing the air bags." call was made 11/27/2017.

Takata recall gm has been aware of this issue for sometime now and after contacting dealer was told there is no fix as of today-nov 12 2017 in the meantime i am still driving a potentially unsafe vehicle

Since submitting my previous safety complaint, my "service airbag system" message is now displayed continuously and longer intermittently displayed. i have also received written correspondence from takata announcing their chapter 11 filing and confirmation that my vehicle may have a defective airbag. the notice also advised me to schedule an appointment with a local car dealer to get the defect repaired at no cost to me. i scheduled an appointment on 10-30-2017 for the repair work but was told by the dealership that they could not complete the repairs as "gm has not issued a fix yet". what is taking gm so long to address this clear, well documented safety threat? it has been at least a year since my vehicle was added to the recall. should i not drive the vehicle? can the airbag be disabled? gm is not offering any timeframe for resolution nor are they providing guidance on what car owners should do while they finalize a solution. i do not have the money to pay for this out of pocket and do not have an alternative form of transportation.

Takata recall i contacted both gm and the local gm dealership about recall 49151 and presently there is no remedy or fix supplied by general motors for this recall. seems that no decision has been made so we are all in limbo as to the recall.

Takata recall received notification of safety recall in july 2016. as of october 26, 2017 i have still been unable to have the defective airbags replaced. there has been no accidents or injuries but want them replaced. i live the houston area, known for hot and humid conditions which make this problem worse.

Takata inflators: recall notice received july 2016. have checked with dealerships since 10-19-16 and they say they have no parts to fix the recall and do not have date when parts will be available. have received another notice that t k holdings have filed for bankruptcy chapter 11. no accident but recall not fixed.

The notification for replacement of the airbags was received prior to the october 2017 mail out notification regarding tk holdings inc., chapter 11. i visited the dealership where i purchased the truck and requested the airbags be replaced. they would not replace them. on my next service (oil change) for the truck, i made the request again for the airbags to be replaced and it was not done. i later noticed a crack in the dashboard panel and brought that to the attention of the dealership. nothing was done. the dealership is bob hembree chevrolet in guntersville, alabama. i now receive this notice and would like to take action to get the airbags replaced and the dash repaired.

Traveling under 10 mph in neutral, both side air curtains deployed. traveling on dirt road. no pot hole, rock or bump involved. no warning of deployment.

Takata recall-i've been told by the dealers that the air bag isn't being made available to them yet,the recall notice i received said the manufacturer and dealers had until august 31st to comply with the recall requirements to replace the air bags and while everyone is saying it's ok i worry everyday i drive my vehicle.the dealer tells me they have air bags but none for the recall program and due to the bankruptcy they won't get paid.
