Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated that the fuel gauge was malfunctioning. once the fuel level reached a quarter of a tank, the contact could not determine how much fuel remained. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and advised the contact to schedule an appointment with a dealer. the dealer (edwards chevrolet 5499 highway 280 east birmingham al 855-865-1395) stated that they would have to charge for diagnostic testing. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 55,000.
Just had someissues with the differebtial on my 07 silverado 1500 lt the problem being is the bolt the goes througn the pin that hold spider gears in place broke off chewd the pin up preety godod was a temporary fix finally was able to fix it proper afte it started again did not have 1500.00 dollars laying to rebuild it found a good used one with low miles on just swaped it out the cost for all about $500.00 this is a problem that should be looked in to and general motors needs to recall these vehicle to fix it being a a common problem could have causeed me major wreck or someone else was driving it when happened this issue needs to be resolved soon stated about 160000 miles if not sooner before i caught it
A code po138,p0011 on my truck with 132678 miles on it, and it shifts hard into gear after stopping, if i drive it for like 2 or 3 miles or idle for 5-10 minutes,the stabilizing light will come no then go off after about five or ten minutes,beep and everything works fine, but engine light comes on,but self reset on restart and i've change the camshaft position sensor, brake switch, exchange number 8th injection, negative and positive battery cables, with grounding straps, ignition switch truck's key wouldn't turn off, air bag warning light lit and traction control off, this comes and go every since i bought this turck in 2006, the dealer never could fix it, it would do good but given six months, then act up agian i were just wondering if you might have an answer? and when the light is on and says service traction control and engine says injection right has malfunctioning or engine hard shift on take off
I ran out of fuel while the guage was reading 1/4 tank with 100 mile range. after fueling the guage did not show proper levels.
Rear end start making noise like something loose hit on the box after taking it to shop couple times finally found the issue the pin in one gear the bolt broke and then pin was flopping around kinda egg shaped the hole where pin goes through was able the get bolt through pin to hold but pretty bad shape maybe nect time could lock up and cause accident was on city street and highway mostly down to stop then noise would strat then started at shifting big clunking noise changed read end fluid as well has about 160000 miles on will be aspendy fix about 1600 dollars to rebuild gm or cheverolet ought to fix this as is a common issue with most silverado trucks another friend has a 2008 with same issue wished gm would address all there problems air bag sensors under radiator a common issue evaporative vent valve solenoid as well are both common issues had eveparotive vent solenoid fixed at cost of 300 dollars and code po 449 come back on code reader
Service airbag light is on stays on had it diagnosed was told is the air bag sensors under the radiator very cost fix and after research this issue has been a ongoing problem with other silverado owners have friend who had same issues plus check engine stay on and was told is in the emissions on the fuel vapor canister another costly fix was just driving when check engine light come on was sittin parked overnight started it next day service airbag light came on stayed on both after extensive research are common issue the should be recalled and fixed soon
Due to corrosion in undercarriage the purge valve and fuel system are rusted out.fuel line had to be replaced front to back at a cost of 1397.78 mechanic at chevydealer said undercarriage is very rusty. truck has 40937 mi. truck was never driven in snow or when roads were heavy salted.
Vehicle stalled while drive down the road nearly causing an accident. would not start again. dealership diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump control module, this issue had been addressed in bulletin no: 14514b, but it was labeled as "vin specific" because my vin does not fall into this specific range there was no recall issued even though the issue i experienced is the exact same issue. *tr
