My 2005 chevy silverado 1500 z71 has rear drum brakes. due to shimmy when breaking in april 2008, we replaced rear brakes pads. when replacing them, it was discovered that they were originally installed wrong. they were then put together correctly and have had serious issues ever since. i have replaced brake pads and drums twice in the past year and a half. and still, it needs to be done again. i have had it to two different shops. the brakes seem to be consistently hot causing the shoes to fall apart. *tr
Abs brake system engages at low speed when braking, pedal pulsates. began june 2008, 22000 miles, replaced pads, rotors, speed sensors, symptom stopped. may 2009 started again 26000 miles, still looking for cure. *tr
