My towing hitch/receiver broke while towing a trailer and turning a corner at 10 mph, 2 blocks from my house. the drivers side of the hitch was so badly rusted, it broke, the passenger side was strong enough that my trailer stayed behind my 2 wd truck and no one was injured. this incident could have hurt someone had i been going faster in traffic when it broke. now, after this happened, i learned that the 2002 trucks have had this issue for some time! *tr

Oem hitch on 2002 chevrolet silverado 1500 is displaying cracking/failure around the receiver welds. entire hitch will need to be replaced. *tr
