Problems with 2001 Chevrolet S-10 EQUIPMENT

I have an 2001 s-10 extended cab 4x4 truck. i have had to have this truck towed 4 times & 4 or 5 fuel pumps put in also a wire that goes to fuel pump & a new gas cap also. i bought this truck in june of 06 & drove it 3 days before the first break down. it was down for 2 months. the place of purchase led me to believe that the truck was in perfect condition with no problems or any wrecks. when the truck was towed to a chevy dealership for repair it cost over 500$ just in labor alone not to mention the cost of the fuel pumps & full diagnostics. i am still having problems with the gas tank. when i fill the truck up it runs out the top of the tank itself under the bed of my truck . isn't this a danger to my safety ? the chevy dealership doesn't want to stand by their work now so i'm stuck with a deadly vehicle. i plan to file any complaint i can & if possible i will get it on the news as well. within a few hours of my buying this junk the auto dealer where i bought it sold my contract to a finance company so now the dealer is not responsible for the things that were & are bad. the truck bed only had 1 bolt holding the whole bed on & the gas tank only had 1 strap on 1 side holding the gas tank up... the finance company won't help with this problem either. i have been researching this type of truck & have found that way to many people have the same problems as i do when it comes to the gas tank & fuel pump. shouldn't someone be held liable for this problem ? would the makers of the s-10 truck allow their kids or family to ride in a truck that could possibly one day cause their death ? when a gas tank leaks fuel from the tank under the truck what would happen if at a stop light someone throws a cigarette out & it hits the gas that's leaked out ? my opinion the truck would blow up. if there is anyone who can tell me where to complain i'd be ever so grateful for that info. ...

Dt: consumer has problem with the tailgate cord fraying, consumer had it repaired at chevolet at his own expensie, there has been a recall on the large trucks, consumer owns smaller truck and has same problem

Within 12 months gm genuine balljoints (lower) on our 2001 chevrolet s10 pickup truck failed within 12 months, possibly sooner if it were'nt for the state required motor vehicle inspections pointing it out again. imagine that they probably failed way before the inspection. it looks like we're not the only one who has expierenced this part failure with the chevrolet, s10.*ak

Air conditioner compressor failed started making loud noises like a bearing or spring went out. had to replace compressor, accumulator, cap tube, pull a vacuum, and recharge. *ak

Ball joints are loose when installed. reported by dealer to be within chevy specs. the same problem with the tie rod ends. cant keep the alignment right with this spec. dealer will not warranty.

Consumer noticed the instrumental system gasoline gauge is not working. as well as the air conditioner blew hot air. dealer has been notified. please provide further information. mr

At 65 degrees consumer rolled up the window and could feel heat coming from air conditioner vents. dealer could not discover where the heat was coming from, and could not fix air conditioner. please provide more information.*ak
