I was driving and the power steering light came on and steering got real hard to turn and now i have no steering power to drive and i'm scared to drive and also my car be in reverse and it went forward
My electric power steering just went out while driving and my anti lock break lights came on, after researching this is a common issue in 09's in very dangerous, there were recalls on this but my vin number is saying my car is not included, i find that hard to believe.
Esc turns off and on by itself while driving. service power steering light comes on and the wheel is hard to turn i have to kill the car and restart it to get it to start working again. when i press my breaks the car jerks and the esc acvtive light comes on. the passenger side headlight goes in and out by itself i've replaced the bulb but it seems to be a wiring issue.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that while driving and attempting to stop for a traffic light, the brake pedal was depressed but required extra effort to slow and stop the vehicle. the contact stated that the brake pedal was firm. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front tires and the front brake pads were replaced however, the failure recurred. landers buick gmc located at 78 goodman rd e, southaven, ms 38671, (662)349-5600, was contacted and an appointment was made to have the vehicle repaired which was still pending. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v272000 (electronic stability control).the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 57,000.
Vehicle purchased in september 2015 with 18 miles. 3 weeks later when brakes were pressed, they started making this grinding sound. the sound appeared occasionally every few months for a few seconds. brake noise still occasionally occurring in 2019, dealerships said it's just moisture. think it's something else. 3 weeks after purchase engine light comes on with code p2097, then light cuts off a few days later, dealer states just needs computer update. the engine light keeps coming on every few months reading the same code p2097. receive a shift to park message when vehicle is in park and off, have to cut vehicle on and off until the message disappears. took to dealership paid $300 to replace a sensor. still experiencing the same problem every few weeks. the vehicle runs fine minus these reoccurring issues since purchased.
During the cold the car will not turn on, will show a stabilitrak problem and the transmission light turns on. when it is on and you drive it, it will automatically turn off and stay off at a red light or whenever you press the brake. i have two other friends who own the same car and it does the same , which makes me assume a manufacturer problem of cars not turning on in the cold/ sensor issue.
Car was initially brought to independent service center in savannah, ga. they were able to replicate the problem with the braking system, but could not determine the root cause. specifically, the brakes fail when the car is placed in reverse. it may be temperature sensitive as it is experienced when the car is starting up - typically in the morning. they sought help from vaden chevrolet in savannah, ga. the car was in their possession for 1+ weeks and they did not find a problem with the breaking system. the car was then returned to the independent service center where they continue to study the problem. when the car was returned to independent service center and vaden failed to acknowledge this safety issue, i contact general motors (1-866-636-2273) to report this safety issue directly. the individual my case was assigned to, "[xxx]", did not follow up on action items and when i tried to return her calls, her voicemail box was full. i asked for this case to be escalated today (2/5/2020), but she indicated she was at the top - no one to escalate issue to. when i asked if she reported directly to gm's ceo, [xxx] , she ...
Emgine reduced speed has been comin on for a while on most chevy models. the car immediately slows on the freeway during traffic and anywhere. the seatbelts do not always attach.
Lost power while driving on main road at 55 speed zone and car would only do 15 mph finally got to a store and got it stopped and steering was shaking and car shakes when i hit brakes
While the vehicle is in motion the dash will display the traction control service light and the screen will read service traction service esc, the brake lights illuminate when the brake pedal is not pushed and turn off when it is pushed. the cruise control also can not be engaged. the brake switch was replayed however all problems came back 2 weeks later. all these issues have been on going.
