The rocker arm control valve has to be changed on my car. general motors and cheverolet continues to say they don't know when they are going to get the part. my check light has been on and i need this matter corrected. i just want to be able to buy the part and get it fixed. i have been waiting since november of 2019. the part number is 12633613.

I was stopped at a light at a very busy intersection (auto off engaged). when i started to move, the car would barely go (auto off was disengaged). it was jerking as i was giving it gas. the service stabilitrak message came on and my check engine light came on. i managed to pull into a parking lot , put it in park and then i tried to rev the engine and it just didn't want to. i shut it off and then turned it back on and the message disappeared. i drove back to work and it seemed fine, but for months now, it seems when i go to take off, it hesitates a bit before going.

My engine light came on 9/4/19 and it was discovered that i need the rocker arm selanoid valve replaced. the dealership informed me it's been on back order some june 2019. it is now 1/28/2020 and chevy has yet to provide any information on when part will be manufactured and available. no dealership in the country has this part. vehicles mostly affect are 2014-2015 but my dealership has been receiving calls up to year 2017. the dealership has also mentioned that the after market version of the part is being pulled from the market. chevy had yet to take responsibility and issue a recall or even manufacturer a necessary part for the engine!

I own a 2015 malibu that has a check engine light that is on. it needs a part (#12633613) that has not been produced by gm since at least last august when my check engine light first came on. consequently my car will not pass inspection so i cannot get legal license plates. gm is aware of my situation. i have been assigned a case number [xxx]. my case has been 'escalated'. i have spoken to my case manager, [xxx], for a month now and this week was told i have new case manager, [xxx], who is higher up than [xxx]. well today [xxx] from gm called. she had no answers for me on the car. the only positive point is that she called me from detroit. so it looks like i finally got to someone at headquarters. 'she understands why i am upset', and wishes there was something more she could do for me but unfortunately all she could tell me was 'that my case has been escalated.' additionally, she could not tell me my part was being produced. she could not give me any sign that gm planned to do anything to help resolve my problem. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Auto stop which comes standard in 2015 malibu's with 2.5l engines will not engage. it used to work flawlessly, but it will not engage. multiple forms that i have read have people stating they have the same issue.

Car was parked in a parking lot for over an hour when an electrical fire started by the battery and fuse panel. there have been no modifications made to the car at all. standard maintenance only has been done including new tires about a year ago. there is no reason a parked cool car should catch on fire. there were no oil leaks at all on the car.

No problems prior to a simple spark plug change(ac delco iridium/oem). few days later, car started hesitating, and losing acceleration, check engine light & service stability display on screen. checked with obdii. gave code of missing spark in #3. so i changed spark plug, thinking faulty plug. after driving a bit, code and same problem again. took to dealer $170 later, bad coil...! 86k miles and bad coil, after changing plugs...hum! ok so if bad coil why is it giving me a service stabilitrack display? and not coming up on obdii diagnosis? i'm a certified transit desiel mechanic of 15yrs, and this puzzles me. i've ordered coil, changing tmrw. lets see what outcome will be after chaning coil!

Tamara recall this vehicle has the auto stop start system where the engine is supposed to engage at a light, and it does not work. no one can understand why it won't engage and the dealer will not help me. the vehicle works and drives fine but this system is flawed and all over the chevy forums people are experiencing this same problem.

Purchased a new 2015 chevrolet malibu 1lt with 8 miles from imperial chevrolet in mendon ma. at 44 miles the vehicle was taken to imperial chevy. service for a massachusetts state inspection sticker. the brand new 2015 chevy. malibu failed the emissions portion of the state inspection test and i was informed by the imperial service dept. that the vehicle failed the state inspection and he (service dept.) did not know why the vehicle failed but i was instructed to drive the vehicle around for approx. 100 miles and after the 100 miles to bring the vehicle back and imperial would re-test the vehicle. after driving around for approximately 100 miles i returned to the dealership and the vehicle passed the state inspection after the second test. at approx. 3,000- 30000 miles (at times) the vehicle would indicate (via indication panel) that the gas cap of the vehicle was loose. the 'tighten gas cap' indicator light would come on and go off during operation of the vehicle. during several oil changes to the vehicle, i informed the service dept. of the 'tighten gas cap' indication but due to the light not being on during the oil charges the service dept. could not find any issues with the vehicle. at approx. 33,000 miles the "tighten gas cap" indicator stayed on and after a while the check engine light also came on. i brought the vehicle to imperial chevy. service and they found the "vent solenoid sticking" "code 0455" and replaced the vent solenoid. at approx. 40,000 miles the same issue started again, the vehicle would indicate that the gas cap was loose, the message would come on and then go off. at 45,000 miles once again, the light came on along with the check engine light. once again, the vehicle was brought to chevy for service and once again the vent solenoid was found to be sticking and the same part (vent solenoid) was replaced. same issue 3 times.

While driving the vehicle i stopped at a stop light and the car turned off due to the auto start/stop when idling. when i let off the brake, the car did not turn back on. after attempting to start the car again numerous times it would not. all electrical stayed on at this point. car was towed to a chevy dealer in fenton, mi and they replaced battery and battery current sensor. later i turned the car off and the radio and screen stayed on even after closing and opening the door. then my car was idling at a stop light today and it auto turned off as when i let off brake it did not turn back on. all electrical stayed on. this time i was able to start the car back up but there's no telling when this will happen again. very dissatisfied with this vehicle.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet malibu. the contact stated that when the vehicle was in eco-boost mode, the auto stop function failed. also, the vehicle stalled and the check engine indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to classic chevy sugar land (13115 southwest fwy, sugar land, tx 77478, (281) 969-4132) and was informed that the vehicle could not be repaired because the manufacturer was unsure of the origin of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not informed of the failure. the failure mileage was 44,000. the vin was not available.

My car has begun dying in motion on city streets for no particular reason on top of the fuel economy not working correctly and causing the vehicle to run out of gas within a few days of filling it up. it will say 195 miles then jump to 207 on the fuel range.

This was 3rd time i took the car into the dealer because the service engine soon light appears randomly and the ignition fails to turn on. i have to turn the key a few times to get it started. my car was seen thurs, was told no issue was found and manager would drive car home in evening to test. called today, friday in afternoon since i didnt get a call, was told it was the battery. had to pay $260 for battery. the past two other visits, i was told battery was good and now its bad...was just leaving the dealer, i stopped at first light and notice the check engine light is on! returned back to dealer and was told that it was something else. nothing to do with battery yet according to them, they said it was because of the battery. my car was left for the 4th time in dealership so they can look at it. a code appeared and tech told me it had to do with the auto stop! this has been going on since end of jan!! please investigate. i have seen a lot of complaints about this issue.. i am the original owner. i bought car oct 2015. i dont understand how the battery had bad cells all of a sudden.

Sunroof and gas fuel sensor affected

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet malibu. while driving 45 mph, the vehicle accelerated without warning. also, the rpms increased whether the vehicle was parked or in drive. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 20,534.

After four months of ownership my engine started knocking. i took it in, they said it was a balancer shaft assembly with timing chain and sprocket. the sound is still there but the dealership started the work is done and refuses to touch it. the noise is extremely annoying but does not affect running. i am of course worried the engine may die, but with the refusal to do anything i don't want to void the rest of the warranty.

Takata recall- when i first purchased the car i notied the vehicle was having alot of trouble getting speed, and it was take a lot of time to shift. i immedietly returned to the dealership with the information, the dealership check the problems and said nothing was wrong will through the years i have gone back to them millions of times with the same problem and not once has it been properly addressed, the previous service advisor i went to for the dealership stated i needed a new transmisson/engine because the one the car has now was not good. the dealership continuted to hold off on putting a new one in until my warranty went out but the car has not been fixed. the car currently goes up to 7-8 rmp and stays there for a good 3 mins before shifting and at times does not what to accelerate which has put me in some dangerous situations.

On may 28, my husband and i noticed these fumes in the car, but we didn't know where they were coming from. when we opened the car trunk, we found that the tire sealant in the compressor kit was leaking on it's own. he brought the car to the dealership's auto shop and the compressor kit was replaced. on july 19, the check engine light came on. i brought the car to the dealership's repair shop, again. i was told that the computer module that controls the engine wasn't working right and it had to be reprogrammed by updating it. they were very vague in explaining the problem. my husband called the repair shop on july 28 and asked them to explain what was wrong with the car. they still didn't explain the problem very well and they said that they already told his wife. the statement that the the repair shop gave us says "customer states that check engine light is on, verified concern scan code p2096, as per tsb pi409 perform ecm re program clear codes / rechecked system all at specs." the mileage at that time was 2470.

A car can not have two batteries connected to the engine at the same time and be street legal. thais car has that and they are mismatched batteries as well. my car was stolen by tom lehousky. he sold it at tropical chevrolet for $15,000 and kept the money.

Driving down i-65 south in nashville tn middle lane with no compromising road conditions of any kind, i got a warning about the stabilitrac system and then within 25-30 seconds the engine shut down completely. i was nearly rearended by numerous vehicles as this is a very busy interstate. i was finally able to restart the car -it would not go over 25 mph and get to the shoulder. the check engine light remained illuminated. *tr

I have been having numerous problems with a pause in the engine when i'm speeding up onto a highway or to pass on the highway . it's most dangerous when i enter the highway. the car instead of just speeding up has been known to pause.. and then speed up. this is very dangerous because it's hard to determine when the car is going to "pause" . i was almost in an accident because i had enough time to enter the highway and the car decided to "pause " and then go but that slight pause effects the timing of entering traffic . also, i am near a highway with a lot of construction. the roads become uneven in parts without warning. i have to keep both my hands tightly secured to the wheel or the car tries pulling you. for instance : i was driving straight and there was a slight change in uneven pavement and my car seemed like it was trying to even out the weight of the car and it tried pulling me left and when i went to straighten out my car become uncontrollable and thank god there wasn't somebody in the right lane because it pulled me all over the highway and i couldn't control it . to be honest i have had about 6 cars and never have i felt so unsafe. also my car is an eco car- it turns off at lights.. sometimes it shakes when it turns bck on and also it lags to move once it does come back on. my dealership said they found a defect in it and gm will "find a solution in 45 days" .. i haven't seen any other reviews about this? *tr
