The first thing that happened was my passenger side rear door just suddenly flew open while i was driving my vehicle down the road. doors were locked and all were completely closed and the door just came open for some unknown reason. had my mechanic take a look and he couldn't see anything unusual about the mechanism or anything on the door. it has happened several times since so now i put the seatbelt through the door handle and pull it tight and lock seatbelt into place so if it happens the door won't fly open again. the second issue i am having is with the airbag warning light and alarm coming on randomly when i am driving my car. i took it into the chevy dealership for one of the other recalls and they said that to put it on the tester, it would cost me $120 (which i cannot afford to pay), so they just let it be and fixed the recall i brought it in for. i am still having the problem and i notice that when the warning light is off and i press the horn...it comes on immediately and beeps at me. is this a safety issue to be concerned with? with all the issues and recalls this car has been having i am not sure if it's an issue to be concerned about or not or just wait to hear on another recall or? i can't pay that to have it actually diagnosed. *tr

Glass on sun roof blew off while driving down hwy 41 at appox. 60 miles. there was a loud noise and i'm not sure if it blew off to the side of the hwy or behind me. i don't think it hit another car but could have been very dangerous if it had. *tr

I purchased my 2006 malibu in 2007. since the time of purchase i have had problems with this car's steering column. it would make a clunking sound every time i would make a turn left or right. i knew something wasn't right. i took the car to the dealer once and they replaced something in the steering column. i still hear the clunking noise today. when i turned the key to start the car at times it seemed like the car was cranking and running on its own. hard to explain it unless you were starting the car. that was an issue as well. now this 2006 malibu was parked in my drive way after going to the store and the next day when i tried to start it it would not start. i thought it might be the battery and had that checked out. not the battery, then i was told it was the timing chain. i had the car towed to the shop where i purchased the car and now i am told that the rocker arm broke and in turn it bent the rods and damaged the engine. the engine is now ceased and damaged. *kb

I bought my chevrolet malibu in dec. of 2006. it is a 2006. i noticed that anytime it rained or i had a glass of water in the car the seats would stain due to the water getting on them. i took it back to maroon chevrolet & they thought it was odd. i told them i do not want a car that stains water. the service manager said they would clean it & scotch guard it & if it happened again, he said they would put new seats in. when i picked it up, the service manager assured me it would not stain water again & gave me a print out on how to clean & what to clean it with for each spill. i told him i've never had anything in my car except water. on the list he gave me was nothing in regards to water stains anyways. well we are in the raining season now & it's happened again. i called the service manager, who kept avoiding me & finally got another manager, who said they cannot give me new seats but would clean it again. why should i have to keep bringing my car back to get cleaned? i'm sure they are not going to keep cleaning it. i know someone else who has a mazda that does the same thing. i don't want to keep a car for 5 years that i have to spend money on all the time to clean. i would appreciate any feedback you can give. *tr
