I was driving on the highway and received the following message, service stabilitrak - reduced engine power. this has come up a few times. this time though while still driving my engine power was greatly reduced with the error, "starter disabled, service throttle". this led to a drastic decrease in speed with zero control over throttle and moved to the shoulder and the car rolled to a halt.

Coolant crossover pipe gaskets rotted away and heat quit working leaving my wife and kids to freeze in the winter.
I was driving my 2007 chevy impala in my neighborhood at 25 mph, and when i was getting ready to stop at a stop sign, the vehicle started to shake badly with the code "engine losing power." luckily, i was able to pull over and turn the car off. being 68 years old, i got extremely scared. i turned the car off and tried calling 2 of my children to help me. not being able to get either one of them. i turned the car back on, and proceeded back home which was only about a half mile from my house. i called the previous owner, and she stated that had happened to her about 6 months prior. now i am terrified to take it out on the main highway. the car only has 70,000 miles on it and had been garaged kept. someone please help me regarding why this might have happened. thank you very much.
Oil control solenoid valve failure causing loss of power, instability at all speeds, and surging of engine. gm does not have any parts to repair this item and does not have a eta on when they will get them, there are no aftermarket options availible either due to the rate of failure. gm part# 12633613
On interstate driving approx. 60 mph suddenly check engine light came on, and reduce engine speed light on and car dropped drastically down to literally no power. barely had time to get on shoulder without causing accident. went to local mechanic and he said that the issue was the throttle peddle.
The check engine light in the vehicle came on and the vehicle began to lose power and then regain power while accelerating and also while still in motion even while not currently accelerating. the problem was diagnosed by the chevy dealership and it was determined that a rocker arm needed to be replaced. the part (#12633613) is not available and there is no estimated time per gm when it will be available again. my vehicle has not been safe to drive and sitting at the dealership since october 15th 2019, it is currently january 8th 2020. this part is an issue for all 2014 and 2015 impala and malibu vehicles with the engine type in the 2014 impala ls. the dealership has referred to the gm part as being defective yet gm has not issued a recall. gm refuses to provide any information regarding the part and will not even confirm if it will ever be produced again. this issue is effecting thousands of vehicles and gm's failure to address this issue is leaving the owners of the affected vehicles driving unsafe vehicles. gm needs to issue a recall or manufacture more of the part if it is simply a ...
