On june 30, 2015 i purchased a 2015 chevy impala from red river chevy, bossier city, la 71111, (318) 549-7500. on july 17, 2015 the entire my link system which includes, onstar, gps, cd player and sirius xm radio quit working. onstar could not locate my vehicle. on july 27, 2015 i took my car in to have the gps/my link fixed. they had to replace the whole module. before the my link failure i kept hearing a roaring noise on the car and sometimes smelling a burning odor. i asked a local mechanic what that could be and he gave me the option of ball bearings, tires could make the noise and check the brakes. i looked on your website for any recalls on the impala and there is a recall for the emergency brake pads sticking to the tire that could result in a fire. i asked the service department to fix the brakes recall. i was told there is no fix for the brakes, because they haven't received the software. i asked the owner to refund my money, because i was afraid to drive the car. he didn't want to do that and told me it was ...

I was driving down the road suddenly check engine light came on speed reduced get a reduced power/traction control message and speed drop to 40 in matter of seconds engine running very rough. almost caused a accident due to this happening at the morning rush hour on commute to work. i looked online this seems to be a common complaint that there needs to be something done about it. i have had other issues (eg: steering mid-shaft failure front end shimmy, brake issues, connector to rear defrost melting, wires in shifting console breaking to where couldn't remove keys or get out of park) with this vehicle and called gm about them and they assign a case number and tell you sorry you will need to pay and keep receipt if there is ever a recall issued. *tr

In february 2014,the traction control and abs warning light began coming on, in my 2009 impala, when making a left turn. the lights began to come on more frequently and would stay on for longer times. i took the car to the dealer and they replaced the left hub. this solved the problem for about a month and then the traction control and the abs warning lights began appearing again. each time the lights would stay on for a longer time. the car is now in the shop for the second time for this problem. *tr
I was driving on i95 merging onto 175 in columbia, md, my speed was 65mph. my "service traction control" light and "reduced engine power" light came on and my car shut completely off. i had no control over the car, could not apply brakes. i put the car in park and turned the ignition switch to off for a few minutes. luckily there wasn't any traffic behind me cause they would have hit me and killed me. i waited about 5-10 min turned the car on proceeded to my destination. the check engine light stayed on. i called the service department at bob bell chevrolet on kane street in baltimore. i was several miles from there they couldn't come get the car so i drove it to them. they had my car approximately 2-3 days and could not replicate the incident. since this time it has happened 8-10 times or more since may 11, 2014 i've called the service department and was to continue to drive it, they can look at it, no codes registered in december when they looked at it so they don't know what's wrong. ...
I have had my 2004 impala into the shop three times now with regards to the traction light going on when i turned along with trac off and abs warning lights going on. initially the service lights would go on when turning right or left. the abs would make a noise like it was cycling. just last week on the highway the traction service light went on while driving at 60 mph. i have had to stop and the brakes would pulsate with no braking capabilities then it would catch and i would be able to stop with pumping the brake. i almost had an accident. the first time a repair was made two weeks ago and replaced wheel hub assemblies on both front tires and front brakes were replaced. this is time frame went the brakes went out. i was told the back brakes were ok. the second time - the mechanic replaced the right bearing after the lights went on again after 5 days of driving. now it is in the shop to replace the wire harness for the traction and abs when the service lights went ...
Traction control system activates when it should not. brake pedal has buzzing noise and pressure while braking from around 35 mph. causes the vehicle to jerk to the right. also, when the tcs activates when it should not, it does not allow for acceleration and has left me pulling out of a side street to almost getting struck by cross traffic. both are very dangerous situations! *tr
