Was driving my impala 2010 and stopped at a double sided road in aldie va to take a left and the vehicle moved a about two feet while taking left and then it stuck there , the rpm's kept going up but the car wouldn't move, there was a vehicle coming from opposite side and while i paniced the vehicle made a jerking hard shift and started to drive again. its 59000 miles on the vehicle and its transmission has worn out already !! because its older than 5 years the company wont give the warranty
Driving uphill & the service stabiltrak & the serice traction control words came on followed by reduce of engine power & the service engine light & traction control light came on. we could still drive at about 20 mph uphill & 45-50 on flat roads. we shut the car off 4 about 2 hrs 2 cool down. but then as soon as we headed up a hill it started all over.
I live in memphis tn. i leased a vehicle from ifinance in nesbit, ms. after getting vehicle towed by them i called to inform them of leak and clunking noises coming from under vehicle.so, as im driving in my apartment complex with my kids i loose power of steering wheel and almost crash with a parked car. after stopping i inspect the vehicle i notice the motor and frame is partially loosened from car, also noticed a screw broke under frame which holds bottom carriage to car frame,it was laying under vehicle, after i stopped thus disabled steering ,it turns freely no wheel play, and i almost wrecked in apartment complex because motor came partially loosened. i cant drive the vehicle and now it has to be towed home and towed again to their lot to be repaired
No problem w transmission until it broke down halloween my car has just under 68k miles this is ridiculous nothing was wrong drove no issues, went to leave when i ttook off notice loud metal on metal grinding noise, like no engine power
Having trouble with my impala 2010 with shifting of the transmission from first to second gear. it seems to be slipping sometimes not all the time.
When i first purchase my car from a used car dealer which is smart auto dealer, 2 weeks later my vehicle will start to have issues while my vehicle is in motion on the service streets. whenever i am making a left turn my alert alarm will light up on dash stating service brake assist , service stabilitrak , service traction control and abs light, this will go on & off, but now it stays on constantly. while turning left, there will be a grinding noise, car tends to reduce its power, like its hard for me to take off and my vehicle will kick so hard, like something is locking. also another issue is while parked on a slanted carport, my vehicle will not go into reverse gear. i feel like my vehicle is going to break because, i have to force it to get into reverse gear, that the vehicle will make the loudest noise, like my axle is going to break on me. according to the dealers service department its not showing up on there diagnostic as any issues. can someone please tell me if there is a recall on my vehicle? there was a ...
At 108492 mile the transmission stopped working there was no warning what so ever we were sitting at a red light and it would not go in any gear. was towed to multistate transmission in waterford, michigan and cost $2,259.76 to be repaired i would like to be reimbursed some if not all this money
Service stabilitrak indicator showed up and the vehicle does not run properly (engine seemed to want to stall, loss of power, rough idleing, transmission 'kicking'. this problem should be repaired by the dealership and not the consumer since the costs of repair are (can be) extremely high. manufacturer should ensure the parts they use for stability and safety will last for the life of the vehicle.
My car died along side the highway due to the transmission suddenly failing. we were unable to move in any forward or reverse gears. i have never driven the car hard, and always maintain per manufacturers specifications and guidelines. 2010 impala with 130,000 miles. fortunately a police officer was able to park behind us in the road with his lights flashing to keep cars from running into us until we were able to get towed away. i had just made a left hand turn onto the highway, and the transmission instantly failed after the turn (i had driven about a mile from my garage till the failure).
While driving on a secondary roadway heard a loud noise then lost steering control as the front wheels locked and was forced off the road veering to the right. the front wheels will not rotate in any gear now vehicle was towed to the dealer. feldman chevrolet of novi, mi states there is metal in the transmission fluid. low miles and no prior accidents, no transmission issues prior, dealer maintained. loss of steering control is a safety issue.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet impala. while the vehicle was stationary, the vehicle would not operate in the reverse position. while driving various speeds, the transmission "slipped" several times and caused the contact to apply significant pressure to the accelerator pedal. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 68,000.

Airbag light goes on and off while driving. took to dealer said it is a $700 repair for the "seat belt tensioner". transmission exploded at 30,000 miles. at 60,000 mile had to replace transmission again. now at 108,000 miles transmission is now slipping and not accelerating properly from a stop.
Stopped for traffic light, when accelerating car wouldn"t move forward. had to have car towed to garage and was told transmission has to be rebuilt. there is less than 50,000 miles on car. please respond
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that shift lever would become stuck in the park position and the key could not be removed from the ignition switch when the failure occurred. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who indicated that the failure was caused by the shift lever wires being too thin. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unavailable.
