We have classified the 75 complaints from 2008 Chevrolet Impala about SUSPENSION into the following categories.
Purchased 2008 impala ss factory demo car with 3000 miles and at 15000 miles a rear tire blew out at 65 miles an hour and almost wrecked us. rear tires were wore out on inside. down to the cord which at 15000 miles seemed impossible. replaced tires and dealer said alignment was not the problem but was normal for the model car and now at 23000 miles rear tires are wore out again on inside and front tires are the original and still look new. why can't the dealer repair the problem instead of selling tires every 10000 miles? i think they just want the extra cash flow during this time the economy is slow . *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that there was a loud noise coming from the rear tires. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who diagnosed that the suspension needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 80,000.
My 2008 chevrolet impala required alignment of all 4 wheels after 35000 miles of use which is not unusual. however, the rear wheels required a special process wherein bolts had to be punched out and shimming was required to allow proper alignment. this effort doubled my cost from $89.00 to $178.00. the problem is obviously a manufacturing defect. the general motors problems and complaints department has failed to respond to my complaint which was submitted july 11th, 2011. *tt
2008 chevy impala (owned 8/10): 80k goodyear tires wore with less than 10k miles replaced by certified tire center 6/11 with uniroyal tp touring 70k, left hub worn with less than 1 year ownership replaced by dealer, right hub play refusal of replacement by dealership (also 6/11). alignments off/ will not stay--reports available from dealer and certified tire replacement shop. will not go in full alignment, may need chamber kit, spindle out on left front (also 6/11). rear passenger door lock (car seat side), replaced by dealer 11/10, at this time inability to maintain tire pressure and mislocation of sensors/pressure indicators was corrected as well as rotation per repeated complaint (11/10)---note: wear should have been reported/ documenter per my complaint to dealer. front passenger door lock going bad also, reported to dealer 7/11. tires continuing to wear with alignment suspension issues pending, dealership refusing responsibility or denying issue exists. *tr
Could not keep alignment correct. three sets of tires were ruined by 60,000 m. consequences were noise of tires, then alignment costs, and replacement of expensive tires. *tr
We own a 2008 chevy impala ltz and have had to replace the back tires due to excessive wear. we purchased the vehicle used with 18000 miles on it and the tread was completely wore to the steel belts on the inside 3 treads at 24000 miles on it. we took the car in for its scheduled 6000 rotation only to discover the tires were shot. the dealer would not honor replacing the tire and mentioned no reasonable solution. i have researched the car thoroughly and have discovered disturbing facts about the impalas spindle rods. there have been many documented cases across the country with very similar problems with the 2007 and 2008 impalas. upon further investigation, i find a class action suit has been filed and gm has been dragging their feet. they recalled police cars, but not cars belonging to citizens. any impala that is showing common wear should be recalled. i can deal with a defect, but my family was at risk as we traveled in the car together 1200 miles cross country and had no idea about the defect. tires should not be worn to the steel after less than 6000 miles. gm is putting people at risk. when are they going to solve this problem and make things right with their patrons. *kb
My family was traveling to a funeral driving a 2008 impala at 75mph. tires were properly inflated and visually checked for wear by general observation.tires appeared to have plenty of tread and no cupping. left rear tire detonated sending tire tread/belts/debris into wheel well area. this ripped fuel filler assembly loose and sent it below car where it trailed with no remaining fuel cap and frayed sensor wires exposed. car was brought to a safe stop beside interstate. when trying to make temporary repairs it was noticed that opposite rear tire had wear down to steel belts on inside two inches. the remaining tire appeared almost new from exterior view. it was replaced along with blown tire as this tire was just as deadly. repair by insurance exceeded $4,000. contacted chevrolet dealer where vehicle was purchased and have not received a response. i believe this is a potentially deadly service issue that needs to be addressed so that repairs to rear suspension can be made. most people are driving around totally unaware that their tires only appear safe. unless the car is put on a lift rack the wear issue is not obvious to the average automobile owner. *tr
I have experience rapid tread wear on the inside of my rear tires. last set of rear tires were worn down to the steel after approx. 18.000 miles. current set of rear tires have approx. 12,000 miles on them and are showing significant wear on the inside. a day ago i was driving on a rain covered interstate early in the morning. the rear end of the car swung out to the left and i lost control and spun around 2 times ending up in the grassy median. luckily, no one else was near me when this happened and no damage was done to the vehicle. currently, i am trying to get gm to repair the problem which i believe is the same problem that the 2007-2008 police vehicles were recalled for. *tt
2008 chevy impala has premature loss of tread on both rear tires front tires do not show any noticeable tread wear but rear tires have lost all of inboard tread. this is a defect in either the wheel mounting or suspension system causing unsafe operation of this vehicle. *kb
Rear tire tread on 2008 impala ss have worn & been replaced twice, only 33400 miles on car. spindle rods are defective and its unsafe to drive because tires could blow out and people could be injured badly. manufacturer did a recall for all police impala but did nothing for the consumer. *tr
Excessive rear tire wear, rear spindle, known problem that gm should recall. gm repaired same known problem with police vehicles, same repair needs done to all vehicles. rear tires are wearing out very aggressively on the outside edges of rear tires. *tr
Purchased vehicle used june 2010, noted after buying rear tires were 2 different tires, & different from front tires. purchased 2 matching tires to present front tires, goodyear eagle p225/55 r17. put front tires on rear, new on front. noted significant inside wear both rear tires, may 2011. have put on approximately 15,000 miles in this time. i drive approximately 53 miles every workday. read article in paper, july 6th 2011 by dee-ann durbin associated press, describing lawsuit over this issue, defective spindle rods, replaced on 23,800 police vehicles by gm, not on rest of 2007-2008 impala's. believe recall should be enforced for all citizen's fairly, by gm, obviously their is a problem, or gm would not have replaced part for police cruiser's. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle began to shake violently. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis, where they stated that the rear spindle rods were faulty and caused the tires to prematurely wear. the faulty rear spindle rods also contributed to the misalignment of the vehicle. a set of four tires were previously replaced on two separate occasions due to the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the contact planned to have the vehicle repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 16,000. the vin was unavailable.
I am experiencing excessive inside tire wear on my rear tires and apparently it is a common problem with 2008 impalas. i spoke with customer service obviously not in this country, and was told i would have to pay to inspect my car. i then spoke to a service manager who denied any known problems. he then let it slip that a modification of the struts was necessary to achieve proper alignment of the rear and that gm would not cover it. they will however repair police impalas at no charge. i declined to pay only to be told i would have to cover the cost of repair anyway, kind of like adding insult to injury. when will action be taken to prevent accidents due to blow outs; which apparently have occurred? not everyone looks under their car to inspect the tires and this wear is not visible otherwise. customer service was not fazed in the least that i might buy elseware, her comment that is your choice ,so much for service. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that both rear tires were wearing excessively. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the tires were rotated. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. the failure mileage was 23,000 and the current mileage was 26,000.
Tires started wearing on the inside edge and no other place was told we needed new tires also a 4 wheel alignment we replaced tires on the front and moved old tires to the rear. looking at the rear of the car you can actually see the tires leaning in at the top and tires have started to show wear in less 1,000 miles all the research i have done says this is a common problem gm will not do anything and will not admit that there is a problem i have put 1 set of tires and not the cheap kind gm used plus the last time i just replaced the front tires and put the older ones on the rear and have had car aligned 3 times. *tr
Vehicle won't hold alignment and when it does it's still wearing out the rear tires at a rate 1/32 per 1,000 miles, it wore out the rear tires in 6,000 miles just lucky that i looked at them when i did. the vehicle has 45,000 miles on it and this is the second set of tires in 6,000 miles. *tr
Purchased new 2008 impala, had to replace tires at 35,000. always rotated and balanced and kept proper pressures. now at 56,000 and am being told by chevy 1800.00 to repair rear alignment. car is driven 99% on the interstate. again need new tires what's up??? chevy denies any problems but the web is full of issues surrounding this. is there no other recourse???? *tr
2008 chevrolet impala is very unstable on snow or ice covered roads. the rear end tends to swerve back and forth when it encounters even the slightest amount of ice or snow. i have over thirty years driving in michigan winters and i have never had a car so unstable in these conditions. i have a 2002 chevy venture and a 97 bonneville that i drove in the same conditions (same road and time for comparison) and they both felt solid even at higher speeds. i have noticed similar complaints in internet forums. i had the tires inspected by a tire dealer and he said that the tires are original equipment and that they had adequate tread. this should be investigated. *tr
Driving the impala ss on winter roads in indiana has become a challenge with this car. any ice or snow on the road will only allow you to drive 45 mph at the max and then the rear of the car starts to swerve back and forth as if the tires are fighting one and another for control. contacted the local chevy dealer and was told by the service department that it is a tire problem with the good year eagle rs-a p235/50 r 18 and they have had a lot of complaints on no traction with these tires. service rep stated the tires needed to be taken off and new tires put on. not covered by the warranty. called good year customer service told them the problem and they schedule an appointment for me. took it to the authorized good year dealer and they called back and said the tires have half their tread left and no problems with the tires. he stated that the tire is to wide for driving in the winter time and basically floats on the ice and snow and would suggest only diving the car in the summer months. so here is the dilemma, the manufacture knows that they have had a lot of complaints with the tires (which are the original tires that are sold with the car. the tire manufacture states the tire is to wide for driving on snow or ice and i need to park it into summer gets here and if so if i drive the car in the winter, i have been warned that it is too dangerous to drive.
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. while driving approximately 30 mph in snowy weather, the vehicle swerved from uncontrollably from side to side. the contact gained control of the vehicle by driving at a slower speed. the failure also recurred when driving during rainy weather. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostics where the mechanic stated that the spindle rod was defective and caused the misalignment of the tires. the mechanic advised that the spindle rod would wear out unevenly and rapidly. the mechanic installed camber bolts to the rear passenger side wheel yet the failure persisted. the vehicle was not further repaired.the approximate failure mileage was 30,0000. updated 08/22/11*lj updated 3/06/2012 *ln
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. while driving approximately 5-25 mph, a loud thumping noise emitted from the rear end of the vehicle. the failure occurred when driving at low speeds. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the four tires were rotated and the failure continued. the technician advised both rear tires would need to be replaced. the contact stated the inner tread on both rear tires exhibited an uneven premature wear due to defective spindle rods. the manufacturer was not made aware of the defect. the approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
I purchased my 2008 impala with 28k miles in march 2009-certified used. i had to replace the tires within the first 6 months of ownership ( i was told that gm uses cheap tires. from the outside the tread was fine and it appeared to be in good shape but when it was on the lift the told me they all had metal showing. i paid this car off and gave it to my son in april 2010- he has since changed all 4 tires back tires 3 times. we had them rotated and aligned twice, that is when it was discovered that the tires had worn on the inside again. there is no way to know unless it is on a lift. my son took the impala to the dealer service yesterday and purchased his 2 tires- it was agreed by service manager that if we took the car there and bought tires from universal that he would put them on, do an alignment and most important install the camber bolt kit at no extra charge. this was also told to chevy by (the service manager) when they called him. i didn't go with my son to pick up the car- i did however pay the $350 which was the price agreed imagine my complete anger when i found out last night the camber bolt kit was not installed and all that was done 2 new tires and an alignment! i could have done that down the street for less money. i expect gm to do a recall and fix this suspension issues- we have replaced tires 3 times in the last 6 months and aligned 2 times. what kind of nonsense is it to tell my son he doesn't need the kit? after so many complaints of the same issue\gm issued a tsb #08032 for police impalas that are on the same platform and suspension, but never extended that to the public. seems to me that the rear suspension has an severe defect that can cause tire blowout without warning. no tires should wear like that with less than 17,000 miles without a rear suspension and alignment problem that needs to be recalled for repair and replacement of the parts and tires. does someone have to die due a defect on the car itself? this has to be fixed for everyone. *tr
I have a 2008 chevrolet impala. i purchased 4 new tires for the vehicle. within a few months, i noticed that both rear tires had a strip approximately 2 to 3 inches wide worn completely bald. the strip was on the inside of the tire, moving towards the center of the tire. the wear strip was so bad that the tires were useless and needed to be replaced. this defect was not a tire issue, nor a driver issue. the vehicle is driven by adults. *tr
We have a 2008 impala, we had to have new rear tires at 24,000 miles and realigned. my tires were so bad it almost did not pass inspection. that is how i found out about the tires being bad. and now i hear that others are having the same problem. i have the before and after measurements. *tt
The chevy impala seems to be a fine vehicle in for normal, everyday driving. in emergency situations, though, it's handling becomes very unpredictable. i had a car pull out in front of me yesterday, causing me to brake hard. the antilock brakes seemed to work fine, however, the rear end of the car slewed out into another lane even though there was no lockup of the wheels - the car should have tracked straight - i was traveling in a straight ahead manner. this is not the first time i've had the car react in this manner. i did a little research on the car's handling - i noted consumer report's understated summary of the car having "unsettled" handling. *tr
In less than 30,000 miles, i've had to have wheel alignments each time i was force to replace 2 sets of rears tires on my 2008 impala due to excessive wear. before having to replace the first set of tire, i had the car into the dealership twice for car vibration at speeds of 50 to 65 mph. i was told the first time that all the wheels had to be re-balanced which did not make since to me. the second time i was told that nothing was found. then the first tire failure and fortunately only at 35 mph. this first failure was at approx. 15,000 miles. one tire, but both were worn enongh that the dealer should have forewarn me before i left the dealership. the second set of the original tires moved to the rear, wore-out at approx. 28,000 miles. i have never in my 47 years of driving had tires and mulitple alignments as i've had on this car. *tr
Severe inner surface tire wear on rear wheels of 2007-2008 chevrolet impala vehicles. technical service bulletin 08032 is on file with general motors, acknowledging the problem, but willing only to pay for necessary repairs to police vehicles, when in fact the flaw exists with all 2007-2008 impala vehicles. we purchased the car as a demo model in 2009 and were not made aware of the problem. we believe the dealer was honest, and also not aware of the problem at the time. we believe this to be a safety issue as well, since handling on wet roads is effected due to the fact the rear tires are contacting the road surface only on 1-2" of the inside surface of the tires. *tr
Vehicle had been pulling to the right. it also needed oil change also so took it to local chevrolet dealer, alexandria motors. the service tech informed me i needed to replace tires since they were worn to the tread. they would not cover it under warranty so i took it to an independent repair shop and was informed this was a frequent (normal?) occurrence on these vehicles due to factory defects. i paid the $581.12 for tires and repair due to the faulty alignment from factory. i was not aware of extensive involvement until i did a google search recently. i did keep the receipts, etc and have had no subsequent problems with the vehicle now having over 40,000 miles on it. *tr
Had to replace rear driver's tire at 17,000 miles due to wear down to the metal. took the vehicle into the dealer to check wheel alignment and found the rear so misaligned that the adjustment struts had to be elongated. spoke with gm customer service rep and was told this was not a warranty issue. *tr
Rear tires were worn out due to known defect in rear linkage had to pay $69.95 for a wheel alignment and $180.72 for two new tires. alignment was probably not necessary since original problem was in the rear linkage, i feel i should be reimbursed for tires and alignment. *tr
I own a 2008 chevy impala which i had new tires installed. i also had an alignment done. at my first tire rotation (6000 miles) i was told of excessive wear on the inside of the rear tires. the wear is very obvious. the tires are a 60,000 mile tire(uniroyal) after contacting the place that aligned my wheels.(ase certified) they did some investigating during which they found gm recalled "police package) vehicles with vin#s falling in a specified range. which my car also falls in this range. they had defective spindle rods in them, however as a consumer and not a "police" vehicle gm tells me i am responsible for having the proper work done to have my car fixed. upon searching myself i have found numerous "consumer" complaints regarding premature tire wear on these vehicles. i see this as a considerable safety concern that the manufacturer should be held accountable for regardless of whether it is a civilian or police vehicle. *tr
I have a 2008 impala, with 38,000 miles. i have had to replace my rear tires last year due to excessive inside wear. i just noticed few days ago that this same excessive wear has happened again and it looks worse than the first time. this issue is forcing me to spend another $200 on tires and worry about my safety. i read an article that the 2008 impalas have defective spindle rods, which connect the suspension to the rear wheels. the defect causes the wheels to misalign, which makes the tires wear out faster. the tires could also wear out unevenly, increasing the risk of a blowout. gm has corrected this issue on the impalas driven by the police dept but has not done anything to the consumer. this issue needs to be addressed and a recall issued by gm asap, for the safety of all involved. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that while having routine maintenance performed by an independent mechanic, the mechanic stated that both rear tires exhibited excessive wear. the mechanic replaced both rear tires and performed an alignment. approximately 7,000 miles after the replacement of the tires, the contact noticed excessive wear on both rear tires again. the vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, where both rear tires were replaced and aligned. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was a recall addressing the failure, but the recall only included police issued vehicles. the approximate failure mileage was 18,000. updated 01/11/12*lj
On 2008 chevy impala, the insides of all four tires were worn to the cord. the tires had been rotated regularly. the car was returned to the dealer who claimed the tires had not been rotated and that he had never heard of any defect.. we printed information from this website showing that this problem had been reported several times. the dealer still denied any defect even though one of the workers said he had replaced tires with the same problem. *tr
Excessive wear on my rear tires. i have been told that the suspension is faulty and that excessive repair work had to be done to remedy this. i had to call aaa on one occassion because one of my rear tires blew out because of this problem. no injuries and i was lucky that i was driving in the city when this happened. on the highway, i could have cause great damage to myself and possibly to others around me. my car burns thru oil so super fast. it burns a quart of oil approximately every 750 miles. *tr
Needed 4 new tires & cam bolts on 3 wheels due to excessive wear (down to thread) after only 22,348 miles. i was (at first) told it was because most of my driving was around town & that i made a lot of turns! tires had been rotated regularly since 2008...dlr. never mentioned known problem w/camber. (mechanic said he sees all the time for this make/model.) saw that this model was recalled for police dept. purchasers but not for the rest of us. my last chevy! *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that over the course of two years he had to realign the rear of the vehicle three times. the dealer told him that it was normal for the particular model vehicle. the failure was so severe that the tires constantly became worn prematurely. the manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure mileage was 18,000 and the current mileage was 50,000. ....updated 12/20/12 *bf the consumer stated one set of tires that were replaced because of faulty alignment were new and had only 7,00 miles on them. updated 12/28/2012 *js
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that all four tires were replaced numerous times within the last two years. the dealer replaced the front wheel barring, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not contacted. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 24,000 and the current mileage was 44,000.
There was no incident. the rear tires wear out prematurely due to gm's aknowledged rear spindle rod defect. excessive wear on the tires creates a safety hazard within a few thousand miles. gm dealer (graff chevrolet okemos michigan) refused to repair even at my expense.
I purchased 2008 chevy impala with 22000 miles on it at norman frede in clear lake/houston area. after 6months they suggested tire rotation was needed and due after rotation i noticed car shaking between 20 to 30mph and above 65mph i took it in and it was aligned and i was charged 2months later still shaking was realigned at no charge but before that i had a nail in one of back tires and i had it repaired by a tire shop and they were shocked to see my 4 tires were worn and they showed me, i was so upset i took car in again and theysaid because i had 36,000 miles on it was the reason. well i took it in again and they told me strut needed to be repaired that's why my tires were all worn and wanted to charge me $150 to repair strut and $400 plus for tires and i said "no" why should i have to pay i hadn't even had the car for a year and this was happening, i was upset and left but before i left they realigned it again and in my service ticket they did not even mention the strut repair. i tried to contact the service manager by email and the general manager, i returned the serv mgr call twice but kept missing her and the gen mgr never called or emailed me. i feel that this is a certified car and i should not have to drive like this or pay for any repairs. please what can i do. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that both rear tires had to be replaced every three to four months due to the inside of the tread wearing down. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed that the rear axle spindle failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 42,000.
2008 chevy impala was shipped from the factory unaligned causing premature tire wear. there may be a camber related issue causing premature wear on the inner edge of the rear tires. problems start at about 10,000 miles. i replaced the rear tires twice in one year. *tr
Started having issues with my 2008 chevy impala with what i thought was a tire balance problem. did required tire rotation as recommended at 6000, 10,000 and then again at 13,500. dealer said tires may be out of round and suggested road force balancing at 16,500 miles. this did not change the issue, so went to goodyear dealer and found out that the inside 2 inches of all four tires were wearing excessively with the rear two less that 2/32 inches of tread left. goodyear shot the alignment and showed that the alignment was way off and tires could not be warranted with an alignment issue. took back to chevy dealer to inform them of the alignment issue. they said alignment was not warranted after 7,500 miles and also would not replace the 4 tires. i did get the dealer to gratuitously do a 4 wheel alignment that also showed the camber and toe, especially in the rear was "out of tolerance and exceeded cross-tolerance" on their machine as well. the camber could not be adjusted without extra work (elongating the bolt holes or a chamber alignment kit). contacted gm complaint line for resolution to no avail, saying i had to prove that there is a defect on the vehicle. this is an inherent safety problem with 2007 and 2008 impalas that has fostered numerous complaint to you including 5 already this year. gm issued a tsb #08032 for police impalas that are on the same platform and suspension, but never extended that to the public. seems to me that the rear suspension has an severe defect that can cause tire blowout without warning. no tires should wear like that with less than 17,000 miles without a rear suspension and alignment problem that needs to be recalled for repair and replacement of the parts and tires. i saw at least 12 complaints in the first 24 pages of 2007 impala complaints to the odi. please investigate this problem before someone is seriously injured or killed as a result of this continuing impala issue. *tr
I own a 2008 chevy impala and have had extensive work done on the car to repair the alignment of my rear tires. i first noticed the issue when after roughly 7000 miles i took my car in to have the tires rotated and i was informed that my rear tires had the steel belts showing. this was a shock because i had purchased 80000 mile tires. i then took my car to my local mechanic who fixed the problem to the best of his ability and this plus the cost of the tire ran me roughly 1000 dollars. prior to me getting the car in to the shop i had noticed extremely poor handling in the snow, basically it felt as if the rear of the car was constantly sliding out. *kb
2008 chevrolet impala. consumer writes in regards to transmission failure. *smd the consumer stated the vehicle was purchased in sept 2007, and in sept 2009, the transmission had to be replaced. the vehicle was covered under 100% warranty and she was given a rental car. the transmission was replaced a for a second time, and lasted until march 2014. the consumer stated the transmission was replaced for a 3rd time and it hasn't even been 7 years. the consumer stated the vehicle would hesitate from a stop. the dealer also stated the vehicle needed engine mount and stabilizer links. *jb
I am getting my fourth set of tires on my 2008 impala, with 70,000 miles i have been told everything from not rotating my tire which i do every 6,000 miles to alignment which has been done three times, , i also have no power steering randomly at low speeds, also rear door locks don't work any more, also when i step on the gas the traction control light comes on and i can't go forward and then it all of a sudden will move, that's on dry pavement. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact noticed the sidewalls on all four tires were wearing prematurely. the dealer advised there was a design flaw within the struts which was causing the tires to wear prematurely. the rear tires were wearing more rapidly that the front tires. the dealer advised the parts needed to make repairs were not available and would need to be ordered. the contact was awaiting the arrival of the parts needed to make repairs. the failure mileage was 27,000 and the current mileage was 28,000.
My 08 impala ss has been going through tires excessively. i replaced the back tires almost 4 months ago and new tires are needed again. the rear tires are wearing on the insides of the tires. i brought this to the attention of my local gm dealer who "assured" me that nothing is wrong with the rear suspension and that i need to rotate the tires every 6000 miles that was what was wrong that i wasn't following the owners manual. so i thought it really was my fault so i spent the $500 to buy two new tires and now almost 4 months later the same thing is happening. i have only put about 6000 miles on the new tires and the cords are already showing on the insides of the rear tires. *tr
2008 chevrolet impala. consumer states severe problem with tires *tgw the consumer stated he has spent more than $588.54 on wheel alignment checks and new tires, not knowing about the spindle rod problem. the consumer encountered severe and dangerous uneven tire wear. the consumer finally replaced all the tires. *jb
