Problems with 2007 Chevrolet Impala EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Low beam head lights keeps blowing out sometimes all head lights go out. i replaced all lights and they keep going out. sometimes the bright lights come on when i turn on signal

Had the car under three weeks and head lights are flickering the dashboard light flickers and the engine is making a ticking sound. the tire pressure light came on after three days of financing the car. *tr

I have 2007 chevy impala....i have trouble with my electrical...examples: radio lighting dim or normal, alarm for ignitionkey left in place dings muffled or normal ..headlights work or one side or another goes out periodically, visibility...huge windshield post; excessive tire wear at low mileage...suspension problems with "weird tire wear on insides of rear tires; manufact. defect number tsb#08032. and other customer complaints there are ignition problems, fuel tank adhesive problem and a steering knuckle problem; this means ignition can turn off while driving, excessive rear tire wear resulting in tire blow outs(hard to see because it is inside of rear tires and uneven wear, also let us not forget that the fuel can escape from gas tank and cause a fire and windshield posts terrible for visibility etc....gm is well aware of these problems and has recalled police impalas and not civilian owned impalas,,,,could someone please tell me why gm is allowed to make such a vehicle...millions of people have them and are in danger, this was to be my last car..i am a senior, disabled and wanted to be a loyal made in the usa customer...i cannot afford all these repairs and it seems gm is not doing the majority ie out of my pocket. i cannot afford another car and do i pass this on to another person to be unsafe. also i have 63,000 miles on my car and all four doors on the inside need repair due to rust. kept in garage. also noticed another impala has rust spot same place i do on trunk near impala need cambur kit and wheel alignment...purchased new set of tires. *tr

Modern vehicle design has increased occupant safety in event of an accident. the other side of this coin is a decreased ability to avoid accidents. blind spots caused by huge windshield posts and rear view mirrors (inside and out), headrests poking up and a seat belts that hold you in position to look straight ahead....all these contributed to our car hitting a guy-wire for a power pole. i took the car back to the "scene" and the guy-wire and windshield post are exactly the same angle, the guy-wire not being in the driver's field of vision. the car is being repaired right now (to the tune of $1250.00, just for a headlight and tupperware bumper cover). it could have been avoided if we'd had the services of a nascar spotter up on the roof of the vfw! there.....i vented. *tr

Yesterday, 12/1/2011, my passenger headlight failed. over a year ago, i had went to replace the bulb, and it came on after jarring it, so i waited to replace the bulb until today. this morning, neither bulb worked. thinking this may be a problem with the headlight switch, i turned automatic lighting off, then back on. that failed, however the brights did work. i pulled over and rapped on the driver headlight housing a few times, and the light came on. then i did the same to the passenger side, which also came on. very unsafe to affect the visibility of a driver, especially since i suspect this can happen while driving, or leave somebody stranded at work when they go to leave and have no headlights. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala. while driving up an incline at an unknown speed, the instrument panel and the headlights flickered intermittently. the failure occurred numerous times. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

My headlights continually flicker almost constantly, along with the dash lights. sometimes they almost go out. they seem to be worse when i am accelerating. it always happens at highway speeds. drives me crazy, can't afford to have them fixed.

When a headlight fails on my 2007 chevrolet impala the manual makes it look like it is very easy for the owner to change the headlight. however, after purchasing the headlamp at an autoparts store i tried every driver i had on the so called screw that holds the headlight assembly in place. the fale normal looking screw they use is a safety trap. it's head is too shallow to reach into any normal drive. i had to drive around with my headlight out until i find a capable mechanic with the special tool. if their shop manual warned i needed a special tool i could have traded the car in on a new one or gone to a mechanic to begin with. it made me so angry that i took it out on my wife when she complained that it was taking too long to do what i thought was a "just wait a minute honey until i get done" job. any more angry i could have turned into a severe safety hazard storm! its almost as bad as when gm made me purchase a lease looking loan from gmac when i purchased the car. after i paid it off they still owned the car. for some reason they insisted that it was a loan and not a lease. and now the guy in the office next to me got a good deal on a new impala at tax payer expense. i hear that gm is conning the public into thinking they are paying back their loan when they are really playing tricks by not talking about the entire 30 billion and messing using tarp money to pay the government back. people at gm could get hung or at least tarred and feathered for this which is another safety problem. *tr

While driving, there is an electrical issue where the dash lights and headlight will flicker. on a few occasions, the instrument display would actually go out for a second, and at the same time the headlights would dim to the point where it is not safe to drive at night. this is an intermittent problem noted at all speeds, and is a distraction to the driver, oncoming traffic, and traffic being followed! a chevy dealer acknowledge the problem and identified it in technical service bulletin #07-08-42-008; however this is more of a safety concern (especially for night driving) than an inconvenience! *tr

The headlights on my 2007 chevy impala are continuously going dim and i'm afraid they will fail at one point while my family is driving down the road at night. gm says it's normal but i own 3 gm's and the other two don't do it. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala. while driving 40 mph, the headlights flickered on and off and then remained illuminated. the dealer has not made any repairs on the vehicle. the current and failure mileages were 18,706.

I cannot see the recently-popular clear turn-signal lens' with colored bulbs nearly as well as colored lens. this has often caused me near misses as both a driver and a pedestrian. many fancy after-market lens' are the worst, especially when sunlight hits them directly. i believe more study should be done on the safety of these. *jb

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala lt. the turn signal was silent when engaged. the contact's eyes must be taken off the road in order to view the dashboard. therefore, the contact felt this was a safety issue. the dealer stated the vehicle was designed this way and the issue cannot be resolved. the current and failure mileage were 800.*ak the consumer could not hear the sound coming from the turn signal switch. updated 04/12/07. *jb

Dt*: the contact stated the tire pressure monitor did not work properly. the vehicle was taken to the service dealer, who determined that the coax antenna needed to be replaced. updated 12/28/2006 - the consumer was told that the part would not be available until 1/07. the remote start and remote door locks fail intermittently. the radio would turn off periodically. the high beams flickered. *nm
