Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala. the contact heard a loud abnormal clicking noise when the air conditioner was turned on or off. the noise lasted for approximately two minutes. there was no warning indicator illuminated. the failure occurred daily. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner motor needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was unknown. updated 11/12/14*lj

Bought car (2007 impala ss) 2 years ago i drive it mostly on highway to work with since then has ranged down from 85 miles a day to about 40 an last year around this exact time my transmission went completely out i had it rebuilt fully for almost 2000 dollars an just last week i noticed slippage again i took it in to where i had it rebuilt an the scanner sowed the torque converter was failing so i replaced it again an a day later i'm noticing it again , i don't ,mind repairing wear an tear on vehicles but a transmission ever year is ridiculous an extreme fa the general public to deal with i am hoping that gm recalls this problem ,an i am seeing an hearing a lot of folks with this problem if anything can be done to help please contact me. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that the air conditioner emitted an abnormal clicking noise. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection but the cause of the failure was unknown. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified and they stated to bring the vehicle in to the dealer for inspection. the failure mileage was 39,000.

I was wondering i hear a clicking sound on my air conditioner what could it be and could that be a recall. i can't turn on my air conditioner because i am scared that my car can catch fire. *kb

A/c failure to a 2007 impala lt chevrolet sedan. smoke coming from the engine compartment led to discovery of broken serpentine belt. a/c compressor had seized making vehicle impossible to drive. all control of vehicle happened as pulling into parking space. tow to repair station where complete a/c was replaced. mileage at 41,988. *tr

2007 chevrolet impala. consumer states vehicle jerked while driving, the air conditioner was clucking, the engine light came on and the speedometer stopped working *tgw the dealer advised the consumer the air inlet actuator and speed sensor needed to be replaced. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that when switching the air conditioner from the fresh outside air circulation to regular air conditioning, the unit would exhibit an abnormally loud sound. the vehicle was taken to a local repair shop where it was diagnosed that the fresh air door actuator was faulty and would need to be replaced. the manufacturer was contacted who did not offer any assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 31,000.

Remote keyless entry transmitter failed after owning the vehicle for less than 48 hours. doors and/or trunk cannot be opened with remote control. the panic alarm button is also inoperative in case of an emergency. gm dealers service department informed me that a tsb had been issued for this problem. *jb

I cannot see the recently-popular clear turn-signal lens' with colored bulbs nearly as well as colored lens. this has often caused me near misses as both a driver and a pedestrian. many fancy after-market lens' are the worst, especially when sunlight hits them directly. i believe more study should be done on the safety of these. *jb

This is a request in order that the dot will begin (suggestion) for monthly us inspection to determine the defects and recalls and maintenance deficiencies on all police ford and chevrolet vehicles. this request is for monthly inspections on motorcycles and ambulance vehicles (by us dot) and fire vehicles to help promote safety of motorists and pedestrian, bicyclists. the assumption is that most city, county, state police type vehicles are 2007 or 2008. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated the tire pressure monitor did not work properly. the vehicle was taken to the service dealer, who determined that the coax antenna needed to be replaced. updated 12/28/2006 - the consumer was told that the part would not be available until 1/07. the remote start and remote door locks fail intermittently. the radio would turn off periodically. the high beams flickered. *nm
