On 01/03/2017, on a busy snow packed intersection, when the light turned green, i was pushed off the road by a large pickup truck, into a curb, which curb is taller than my impala's frame to ground clearance. my left front tire and rim were ruined. the driver of the pickup continued north leaving the scene of the accident. prior to gm's bankruptcy, my impala ss, which was made in canada, is a rusty, poorly painted, hastily thrown together piece of junk. it needs many used parts with which to make needed repairs. reasonably priced, quality used parts are impossible to locate. *tr

The day i bought the car used, the lights went out on the way home. after complaining on a chevy forum, i bought a used multifunction switch which i learned was a common problem in impalas and monti carlos. this year in spring (sorry i don't remember the exact date or miles) that part malfunctioned when on bright. the salvage yard was sold out in used switches because it was such a common defect and i couldn't afford a ne,w one. while driving on dim i hit two deer which caused $100s of dollars in damages. i complained chevy said they knew it was a problem and that i would have to pay for the part myself. i paid over $300 to replace with my labor. then my lights went out on dim. chevy did the math, its cheaper to take the chance o someone dying and suing then to take away this money source for dealers *tr

As i proceeded west down richmond ave the young lady was pulling out of her job parking lot. she was trying to head east on richmond ave., but she was talking on her cell phone and also looking west instead of the direction traffic was coming from. as she proceeded to cross 3 lanes of traffic without looking in the right direction and talking on her cell phone, i start to blow my horn as well as trying to merge into the far left lane to dodge her from hitting me. that was a failed attempt she still ends up smashing into my passenger side panel along with the front bumper and tire. no airbags ever deployed. *tr
Traction control system activates when it should not. brake pedal has buzzing noise and pressure while braking from around 35 mph. causes the vehicle to jerk to the right. also, when the tcs activates when it should not, it does not allow for acceleration and has left me pulling out of a side street to almost getting struck by cross traffic. both are very dangerous situations! *tr

Originally radio failed to work. went to the dealer and was told that i would need to replace the radio. after further investigation, found out that there is a wiring harness that was corroded in the passenger rear seating area. this harness also controls the warning bells for the entire car. there is definitely a water entry issue with this model. now the air bag light is coming on and you can hear water 'sloshing" around in the dashboard area. water is coming in to the passenger floor area. *tr
