Problems with 2003 Chevrolet Impala SEATS

On average, the 2003 Chevrolet Impala starts to “feel” problems with the SEATS and its various aspects after 500 miles.

I was on my way home from work when my driverside head light went out so i stopped and bought a new bulb at the closest store when i replaced the bulb the light still didnt come back on then the dtr light also started having issues the only time you get any lights on the driver side is when you move the entire headlight assembly around then you get dim lighting so for the past couple months we havent been able to use our car at night. i keep checking for recalls but i havent seen any and we have always had problems with our dtr lighting including the ones that control our dash lights. cause we have none they work during th eday when they want too but at night we have no lights in our dash. also the drivers side heated seat has quit working. it all occured roughly around the same time. nobodys been able to fix the issues. *tr

Driver activated driver's side seat heating unit during a commute sometime in december 2013. at some point during trip, seat back heating unit burned leather seat and burned drivers coat. oval burn mark approximately 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch tall resulted. seat heating unit no longer works. *tr

Hit from behind the seat lumbar roll made my back injury worst

Leather on front lower seats streached out of shape,able to pinch leather together and lift off cushion.poor padding or poor leather. vehicle has 1000 miles . seats look like 50,000.*ak

Tl*the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet impala. 3,000 miles after she purchased the vehicle she had brake failure. on april 8, 2003, dealer replaced rear rotors, nov. 19, 2003 freed up sliders, march 26, 2004 full rotor assembly replaced in florida, june 7, 2005 complete brake change. aug. 16, 2005 resurfaced brakes and rotors, jan. 16, 2006 refaced rear rotors, june 30, 2006 replaced rear rotors and refaced front rotors, jan. 10, 2007 resurface work needed to be done but did not perform repairs, may 23, 2007 replaced all 4 rotors. the contact paid for the repairs, may 22, 2008, replaced rear pads and serviced calipers. the dealer will not make any additional repairs and feel as though they have done all they can to remedy to failure. the failure mileage was 3259 and the current mileage was 50295. updated 7/3/08 *cn the passenger seat heater and rear window defogger were inoperative. there was a noise coming from the steering. the dealer lubed the intermediate shaft. the rear stabilizer shaft and link was replaced. updated 07/15/08. *jb
