The electronic speed control suddenly stopped working and no longer functions. the automatic stop feature causes the vehicle to lurch forward suddenly when you press the gas peddle following a stop. the dynamic braking suddenly engages while driving at highway speeds on the interstate and there are no other vehicles or obstructions in the area.

Vehicle lost all power while pulling into a 4 way main road. vehicle emergency lights/flashers did not work. complete electrical failure. car was stalled in active traffic lane during night time hours. vehicle was towed into dealer for full diagnostic review- no issue was found with vehicle, although several eec test codes were detected- p0627, p0629, p01400, u18a2, u1524 and u18b4+71- most codes having to do with fuel pump/emission issues. owner of vehicle considers this a serious issue as car stalled at night, in a heavy traffic area with no lighting or emergency flashers working to provide protection from on-coming traffic. emergency personnel were called to assist.

In my vehicle owner's manual (part no. 84134729 b), there is an error on page 352 which misidentifies the positive and negative terminals of a battery used for jump starting. under the subtitle, jump starting - north america, the terminals noted as (3) and (4) should be (4) and (3).

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. while driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled and restarted after forty minutes. afterwards, the speed would not exceed 5 mph and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to chevrolet of homewood (18033 halsted st, homewood, il 60430, (708) 251-4692) where it was diagnosed that an unknown wire was burned out. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 5,938.

The infotainment in the vehicle does not work properly. it is hit or miss. either it will work and i will not see any issues or it wont work. the sound will not work which then does not allow for the turn signal noise to work. the ac fan is not showing on when it is. the software on this device is very glitchy.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. while driving approximately 65 mph, the adaptive cruise control shut off and the "adaptive cruise control not available" indicator illuminated. the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to dunlap motors (866-715-7154, located at 520 1st street east, independence, ia 50644) where the computer system was reprogrammed. the failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who reprogrammed the computer again. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 2,000. *pm consumer states each time failure occurred no cars were ahead of them but the vehicle would brake abruptly. on 12/17/19 a monitor was placed in vehicle by the manufacturer, but they have not heard anything back about it. consumer states that they have also experienced issues with the phone, radio and rear defroster. this leads them to think that something is wrong with the wiring in the vehicle. *dl

The autostop feature turned the car off and did not turn on when i pressed the accelerator and i was in a intersection and i waited for ten minutes and it turned on again. the problem was with the computer which wasn't working.

The vechicle's engine shuts off while stopped for a very short time on roads in traffic. it can be a major highway, or interstate and even neighborhood roads. it can be hazardous as the vehicle takes a minute to start back up and get going. i had no idea this feature even existed, before i experienced it after purchasing. i am also experiencing problems with the tailgate/trunk locking. i lock the vehicle, and all doors lock except the trunk. i have only had the vehicle since dec 31,2018 and am very surprised to be experiencing these issues so soon.

I am unable to gauge the time needed for the car to restart after "autostop" shuts the motor at a hard stop. this is dangerous for all drivers as even when lifting my foot from the brake the car does not move as it should in "drive." instead, placing my foot on the gas pedal is required. this causes unexpected delays in beginning to drive that could have severe and long lasting consequences. i do not at all feel safe in this vehicle. this happens both during city and highway driving, i.e. when sitting in traffic. other manufacturers have a switch to deactivate "autostop." chevrolet does not. i believe a mandatory recall is required to remedy this clear safety over site.
