I was driving home from work.while making a turn my car was unable to brake. i slammed into a telephone pole which my airbags did not deploy. my car hit the pole a hard right. my head and neck was push forward extremely fast causing trauma.

The airbag light came on and then the car got stuck in park. now the key want come out the ignition. took it to the dealer he said the passenger airbag module needs to be replaced and the battery terminal needs to be replaced.
Takata recall: my car was involved in a 3 car crash at the corner of 28th ave n and 4th st. n on december 14, 2018. i was in the median waiting to cross oncoming traffic when i perceived the lanes were clear and proceeded to cross the road. i was t-boned by an oncoming dodge avenger, into the front end of a jeep wrangler and pushed into a stop sign. my airbags failed to deploy but the avenger's passenger and driver airbags deployed.i was taken to bayfront er by ambulance and admitted to trauma department suffering a sternum fracture and compressed chest injuries. my left hand also suffered a possible fracture. the police report is not factual. it states my airbags were deployed but from the picture you can clearly see they were not and the insurance adjuster will testify that they were not deployed.
Takata recall i was involved in a car wreck on a city street. my car was totaled and not even one airbag deployed. it was a front end collision. i was traveling east about 20-25 miles per hour and s vehicle ran a stop sign going excessively fast. i hit the passenger side of her vehicle. my vehicle spun around 90 degrees and ended up in a ditch hitting a stop sign on drivers side door. front of my equinox was totaled.
The passenger seat airbag sensor light goes on every few seconds. it does not matter if anyone is in the seat or it is empty. it just started out of the blue and i am reading that other owners are having the same issue. this only happens when the vehicle is moving.
Passenger side airbag panel has been detaching itself. popping it back in but it continues to fall off on one end. afraid it might go off at random when someone sitting in passenger seat.
Takata inflators passenger air bag service light is on. this has been dinging every mile to alert us since july 18, 2018. it started on1-40 near gatlingburg, tn. we listened to the ding ding ding all the way home to franklin, oh - over 6 straight hours and are still listening to the ding ding ding everytime we drive this equinox. took it in for service and found out there was a recall for this model and year but we did not receive a recall notice. warranty expired by a few weeks. this is costing us over $800 to have it replaced. we feel this is a safety manufacturing defect that we have no control over. we've been driving it since the alert started july 18th, 2018. took us two weeks to get into the dealership and now we're waiting for the part to come in. we are driving a vehicle that could possible be dangerous. contacted chevy customer service and were told they could not help us and chevrolet would not be paying to have the airbag replaced because our vin # was not on the recall. no problem with our dealership - still waiting on the part. please let us know what's going on with the recall and why we were not notified. thanks
Service airbag dash light/alarm comes on every 10 seconds whether someone is in the seat or not. was told that i needed to replace the passenger side presence detector and module.

I hit a deer going at least 60 miles an hour. damaged the right front of vehicle ( approx. $8,000 in damage) air bags did not depoly but seat belts would not retract and message said the air bags had deployed and there was foul odor as if they had.
Vehicle was struck in the front and right side by another vehicle as driver was crossing a two-lane city highway. the seat belts were on,but none of the front or side airbags deployed.the driver suffered a mild concussion as a result of being thrown around and bruised leg. passenger was thrown around,also, resulting in both being checked out at the er.the vehicle was declared a total loss by insurance company.

After an accident, there was significant damage to the front end including part of the frame. inside the vehicle however, none of the airbags deployed at time of the accident. the vehicle was later totaled due to the significant damage to the motor, part of the frame and front end.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chevrolet equinox. the contact was driving approximately 25 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise and crashed into a curb. the contact stated that the on-star reading indicated that the air bags deployed however, the air bags failed to deploy. in addition, the contact stated that after the crash, the drivers side seat belt failed to retract. the driver sustained back pains and abrasions from the seat belt but it was unknown if medical attention was required. a police report was not filed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v666000 (air bags). the approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
My vehicle was struck in the front by another vehicle as i was crossing a four lane hightway. other vehicle was running 65 mph. my seat belt locked, but none of the front or side curtain air bags deployed. i suffered a mild concussion as a result of my head striking the driver's side window. immediately after the wreck, one could smell the inflators releasing vapor, but no deployment of the bags occurred. vehicle was a total loss due to structural damage.
