I became trapped inside this late model corvette. i opened, entered, sat in and simply closed the unlocked drivers door of this car located in the for sale section of the carmax store in waukesha wi. the doors locked approximately 1 minute after entry. all attempts to unlock via the unlocking door switch and interior door lock stem at interior door sill failed to unlock and grant exit. a female store visitor flagged a female sales associate 5 minutes later to unlock the vehicle and open the door. oxygen levels decreased rapidly in its windows up/doors closed configuration. i was in a near panic state. i was fortunate temperatures were in the 60's and cloud cover was high. i feared for my safety and believe fatal consequence can easily result from this engineering defect.
