My gm service request numberb is:[xxx].the automatic gear selector lever occasionally got stuck in park (p) and took a long dangerous time to get it worked loose and functioning properly. i lived with it for several months, but it got progressively much worse and more dangerous. i spoke to other corvette owners and found out that i had a common safety problem for my model. i finally took the car to the dealer that sold it to me (mountain view chevrolet) who said they had seen a lot of this defect and they then charged me nearly $600 to correct this dangerous defect. not right!!!! it should have been recalled from the get-go and fixed promptly without charge. unable to move in traffic, get out of the way of danger, or off of railway tracks is a potential killer. there should be a safety recall. *tr
