Problems with 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SEAT BELTS

None of the warning chimes work - seat belt not on- lights left on -key in ignition- low on fuel-also the clicking sound made by the turn signals. all of these sounds are routed thru the radio door speakers , many of these speakers don't work , the auto blogs are full of complaints about these speakers gm knows it but won't replace the speakers.

1. cruise control engages on it's own and lunges forward, even in traffic at 10 mph speed. 2. seat belt on drivers seat, while stationary,doesn't release easily and takes about 30-45 seconds at times to release. 3.while on the road driving, the car displayed all the information on the dash, such as; tire pressure, oil life, mileage, etc., then the car's speed reduces and it flashes words "power steering" and then the car died in traffic and i was almost hit from behind before i could get the car off the road. i had to call a tow truck and be taken to chevy dealer and they found nothing wrong. this has happened again today, 5/29/2016 and i had to leave my car in store parking lot for four hours and then it started, drove 5 miles home and went out again right before i pulled into driveway. 4. while driving on the freeway, i engaged the brakes and they barely stopped me and brakes pads are good on car.

My daughter was involved in a car accident on may 28 2013. she was in the hospital from may 29 2013 til july 10,2013. she was alone in the car somehow lost control went into a ditch and hit a tree the air bags did not deploy she was in a coma when she was found. she has brain injury, crushed collarbone, and injury to her left arm . also it's a miracle that she is alive everyone that treated her is amazed that she lived. she is also still having medical problems . a nerve in her brain is damaged that has caused her to develop gastroparesis. i wanted to report this a long time ago but didn't know where to file this til i saw on the news about the investigation on the chevy cobalt the airbags not deploying please keep her in mind during this investigation thank you. *tr*dt *tr

2010 chevrolet cobalt. consumer writes in regards to recommending a recall concerning seat belt stops *tgw the consumer stated the seat belt stops failed twice. when they broke, the seat buckle dropped on the strap below the seat between the rocker panel, which made it nearly impossible to retrieve the buckle. the consumer stated the part was an inexpensive two-part button that went through the strap which stopped the bucket from sliding down on the belt. the dealer replaced the driver's seat belt stop. *jb the consumer stated the rear brakes did not adjust. the dealer indicated the rear brakes need to be adjusted. the dealer indicated, he would have to pay to have them adjusted. however, it appeared the dealer acknowledged that the rear brakes were suppose to automatically adjust, upon backing up. the consumer also stated one day while driving, he heard a loud sound. soon after, about 1/2 gallon of water spilled onto the passenger floor and then continued to drip down the blower motor/ the dealer stated the ac drain evaporator box filled up from the outside drain. the dealership did not nothing to clear off the cowl area and they did not attempt to vacuum up the water. updated 08/20/12

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet cobalt. the contact stated that the vehicle was involved in a rear end crash and was forced forward and rear ended another vehicle. the seat belt did not latch properly which caused her to hit the steering wheel. also, the front driver seat broke away from the frame. the air bags did not deploy and onstar was not alerted of the incident. the contact was injured and treated at a nearby hospital. the manufacturer had not been notified. the failure mileage was approximately 1,900.

Electronic devices engaging passenger airbag and seatbelt notification. when i put an ac adaptor (lightweight), or most electronic devices, sometimes even just my ipod, on my passenger seat it thinks a person is sitting there. if i were to crash this would be a big problem airbags are expensive, plus the car is always beeping at me. i went to the dealership while my car was under warranty and they said, well you just cannot put it there. there is nothing we can for you, i even asked if they could at least put a center console in. (answer: no) i am reporting this as property damage because they won't fix my car which is obviously not functioning correctly, then let me drive off with an unsafe car. so be careful with putting your electronics on your passenger seat it could mean totaling your car, airbags are expensive. also my cobalt does not have a center console so there is no where else to put my electronics, which to me seems like a bought a damaged vehicle. i cannot use the functions it is supposed to have, like the aux input, because i have nowhere to put the mp3 player without activating the passenger seat alarm/airbag. be careful and help me complain. this is very shady, also right after i got my car they (the chevy dealership) acknowledged my cobalt was part of the affected "unintended acceleration" cars, now there is nothing about it anywhere. they said they would call me when they had a fix for it, and yet i was never contacted and i just got contacted about my power steering recall with no mention of the other problem they had previously acknowledged, affected my car. i don't think there is coincidence recalls are controlled by the same people that control gm, the government. it took gm 5 years to start fixing this power steering problem, think twice before buying general motors, you are really buying government motors, and your protected by their wonderful recall coverup program. *tr
