We have classified the 1 complaints from 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier about VISIBILITY into the following categories.
My passenger side window in my z24 cavalier is not working again. i replaced the motor 2 years ago at 60k miles now i have 95k miles and it has gone out again. is chevy going to replace or recall this so i don't have to pay more money for a motor? i replaced it the first time because what if a child or passenger got there hand stuck in window and i could not get the window open again because of the motor problems. this is a safety concern of mine that should be addressed by chevy. *tr
Windshield cracked without warning- no outside forces (eg. rock) in the middle about 12 months ago. dash cracked down the middle 3/10/08- no reason. worried about safety bags operating correctly. know of many other cavaliers with same dashboard problem. *tr
Fuel pump on chevrolet cavalier z24 went out at 76,000 miles. it lost power and died all of a sudden in the middle of the highway. luckily, no cars were around as it was almost midnight. cost to repair was over $600, not including the towing. in doing some research i have found that numerous people had fuel pumps malfunction on their cavaliers, and on some cars newer and most with lower miles than on this car. same story, just loses power and died in the middle of the road. this was extremely unsafe. obviously this was a defect with the cavalier, yet they won't issue a recall. i have never heard from anyone that owned a cavalier that didn't have some sort of problem with it. also, had problems with the shifter cable and power window motor on the driver's side. extremely unhappy with the chevrolet. *ak

Driver's side front window will only come down approx 5 inches, and passenger side window will not go all the way up, leaving approx an 8 inch opening. i think this is definitely a safety hazard because if i can't roll up the window, the car can be easily stolen, vandalized, or burglarized. not to mention my driver's side window entrapping me inside of the car in case the vehicle submerge into water. i have looked into getting the problem fixed, & the quotes i got were 400-500$ for each window. my warranty has been up for a year. *jb
Mostly when it rains the wipers will stick or jump at the top and on the way back down. when i use delay or mist only. when i have it on 1 or 2 speed they work just fine.
