Problems with 2002 Chevrolet Blazer EQUIPMENT

The brakes did not work! i was driving down a 60mph speed limit road and there was a stop light ahead a car in front of me stopped short to avoid accident i tuned in to the other lane wile on my brakes there was a tractor trailer stopped at the light the brakes weren't working i put the brake pedal to the floor and stopped slowly i wound up about less than 1 foot of hitting the trailer at the next light i was coming to a stop and the car did it again this time i went threw the red light on about 5 feet into the intersection thank god no other drivers started to go yet from there green light .no injuries or damage just a crappy car :-( *tr

To avoid accident on 2002 chev blazer 4wd. i was in 2wd i hit the brakes. nothing happened. i pushed brake pedal as far as it would go. seat belts did not tighten, i downshifted but nothing happened. i heard two clunks in the rear end. i was unable to slow down from my speed at 30 mph. i saw a warning light on the dash during this incident. i hit a pickup truck who stopped suddenly to avoid a senior citizen who crossed lanes of traffic in a 65 mph she was doing about 30 mph. i was unable to reach emergancy brake in time. my wife rec'd two broken ribs and three cracked ribs and bruising. pickup truck had minor damage. i had $6,700.00 damage. i had just recently had a command module put in the vehicle to repair faulty 4wd problem not going in and out of 4wd without playing around with controls. my abs flat out did not work or slow me down. i could not downshift. my tachometer was at idle when i downshifted.

I've had the blazer for one year and the fuses keep blowing taking out all dash information.i've had it in the shop three different occasions so far and the mechanic can't pin point the problem..(in other words they like to make you look as if your lying)my warranty does cover for them to look at it.but its time off work and inconvenience that it is causing that doesn't seem to matter to them..cheverolet don't want to work out anything to resolve this matter..

Consumer states, vehicle has a flat tire, while jacking up the vehicle jacks bend and vehicle fails. please provide further information. ts

Not long after i purchased my 2002 blazer, i started noticing that at random times the motor would start racing when i started the engine. it ran very loud for a period of time and then would finally slow down. while driving the vehicle this would also happen. the rpms rapidly increase when accelerating, and it would make a loud roaring noise, but the vehicle doesn't go any faster. i took it in to the shop and was told this was normal, that it was the clutch fan. it is extremely hard to believe that this is normal for a new vehicle. i have had the blazer since april of 2002 and it continues to do this and has sometimes put me in very unsafe positions. this problem seems to me to be more of a transmission problem than a fan. i have also had problems with the fuel gauge. it will show empty when it has plenty of gas. it has showed low on fuel, and then when i stop to get fuel, it will not take any gas. but then i have run out of gas right after trying to put some in the tank. the third problem is the left front door hinge. the pin continuously works out of position and it feels like the door is about to fall off and it doesn't close properly and i have to have the pin knocked back into position. also, at the time i purchased the vehicle, it had a cassette player and the dealership agreed to install a cd player as part of the purchase agreement. the vehicle also had optional controls on the steering wheel. when they installed the cd player, the controls on the steering wheel no longer worked. when i asked them about this, they just said that this cd player could not be controlled from the steering wheel contols and left it at that. i think they should have installed one that could have functioned the same as the factory installed equipment.
