Electrical problems and door problems - i bought my blazer when it was 2 years old with 8300 miles on it. with about 13000 miles on it the vehicle would not stay running and the battery gauge was under 9. i got the vehicle started and drove to the dealership. they replaced the alternator. they would not cover a loaner or rental since i was able to drive the car to the dealership. if i would have had it towed they would have covered a rental. 2 weeks later same problem repeated. brought it back to dealership and they found the ground wire off the alternator was not properly tightened to the engine block. again they would not cover a rental car since the car was driveable. that fixed the problem. with about 17000 miles on it and 2 1/2 years old noticed rattling noise coming from drivers side front. noticed that the drivers side front door was sagging. brought vehicle to dealership and again they would not pay for a rental or loaner. problem diagnosed as door needing new bushing and center pins for the hinges. they had to order the parts and i had to bring vehicle back. again they would not pay for a rental or give me a loaner. i had a 1/2 hour discussion with service director for the dealership and finally gave me a loaner. i called chevy about the problem with the doors and they don't find that out of the ordinary for the vehicle to need new pins and bushings with only 17500 miles on it. the 3/36000 warranty is up in two months and i will be getting rid of the vehicle before the warranty is up before something else breaks on it. i will never buy another gm vehicle!!*ak
I purchased my vehicle in 4/01 and seven months later i began experiencing a host of problems with my vehicle, starting with multifunction switch worn, then hood hinges worn, exhaust (muffler broken) right speaker inoperable, left front seat adjuster broken, grill assembly loose, brake pedal broken and finally transmission failure (needs replacing). i have done a bit of inquiring to other chevy blazer owners and found out that they have or had experience some if not all of the same problems that i am experiencing now. i am hereby respectfully requesting your assistance in rectifying this complaint. i don't think that after 11mths of purchasing my vehicle i should be needing my transmission replace. from passed experienced with replacing a transmission on my wife new vehicle (mazda mx3) back in 1992 it has never been the same. we had been having the same problems and more with it. we were able to actually get another vehicle and the same problem keep occuring . after that long and tiring experience with my wife's car i now that this won't be no different. i have purchased a lemon and i need to know what recourse i can take to insure that i would not be stuck with a vehicle that would be costing me more to have it constantly fixed and replace. i thank you for your help and assistance in this long and tiring ordeal. i anxiously await hearing from you. respectfully yours. *ak
