We have classified the 3 complaints from 2001 Chevrolet Blazer about EQUIPMENT into the following categories.
After pulling into the parking lot of work, i was getting out of the vehicle and the spring that was attached to the truck door just fell off and on the ground. now, as the time is passing the interior light doesn't work and the electrical panel on the driver's door is getting worse. i can only lock the driver's door from the outside and the alarm goes off everytime i open the door. i have to keep slamming it to make the door completely close. i haven't been to anyone yet because i believe this will be a big expense. *tr
I have a 2001 chevrolet blazer that recently had to be repaired. i feel that a recall item should cover cost of the repair. the chevrolet customer representative that i spoke to said that it is not covered by the recall. in a nutshell, the symptoms that the car had are exactly the same as those mentioned in nhtsa campaign id number : 01v364000. both rear, outside stoplights stopped working. the center stop and the turn signals worked fine. i had the car repaired at a cost of $470.29. on the invoice the item replaced is a multifunction switch? *tr
Possible quality issue with gm hub/bearing part number 12413045. purchased vehicle with 21,500 miles on it. on 3/23/05 at 57,468 miles, the right front hub/bearing assembly went bad. gm part 12413045. on 4/27/05 at 60,750 miles, left front hub needed replacement. now, on 2/16/06, at 90,650 miles, left front hub needs replacement. that is less than 30,000 miles. chevrolet dealer denied claim that product defective in any way. would like to have gm acknowledge problem with premature wear and replace at no cost. *jb
I bought my chevy blazer in may of 2001. we had a recall for the exterior lighting: brake lights: switch. we brought it back to the dealer we bought it from and they did replace it. we are having the problems with the same part once again (no brake lights). we called the dealer and they're telling us this part is not covered. if there's still a problem with it, which i understand we're not the only ones reporting this, why wouldn't this be covered? my husband has owned his gm truck for over 10 years and has never had to replace this part. why would a newer vehicle have to replace it twice within a 4 year period? please advise.*jb
On feb 4th, 2004 the service engine light came on so i took the blazer to the dealership(bert greenwald) to find out what was going on. i was told that the "air line & valve air pump assembly needed to be replaced. it's now may 4th, 2004 and i am still waiting for the part to come in. each time i inquire about it, i am told that general motors doesnt want them to order the part until they come up with a plan to deal with this problem since it seems to be occurring very frequently. i feel that 3 months is to long to be waiting for feedback on this even though the dealership has said they not charging me to replace the part.*ak
I am pregnant and very scared to drive this vehicle again. i was told by rick, service manager, toni hall at flow chevrolet a year ago that this 4x2 and 4x4 wheel drive was corrected while under warranty. they refused to fix the major problem and changed out a switch. during this whole year i haven't been able to drive comfortablly. now they have had to replace the whole front end. a brand new car now with only 39,000 miles. the noise is terrifying and i've been insulted by gm with a loyalty incentive for $700 to take off on a new vehicle. no one can asure me that i will be safe, even after they told me it was fixed a year ago. i'm scared to drive it. i will leave it at their place until they can get me a safe car to drive.*ak

I purchased my vehicle in 4/01 and seven months later i began experiencing a host of problems with my vehicle, starting with multifunction switch worn, then hood hinges worn, exhaust (muffler broken) right speaker inoperable, left front seat adjuster broken, grill assembly loose, brake pedal broken and finally transmission failure (needs replacing). i have done a bit of inquiring to other chevy blazer owners and found out that they have or had experience some if not all of the same problems that i am experiencing now. i am hereby respectfully requesting your assistance in rectifying this complaint. i don't think that after 11mths of purchasing my vehicle i should be needing my transmission replace. from passed experienced with replacing a transmission on my wife new vehicle (mazda mx3) back in 1992 it has never been the same. we had been having the same problems and more with it. we were able to actually get another vehicle and the same problem keep occuring . after that long and tiring experience with my wife's car i now that this won't be no different. i have purchased a lemon and i need to know what recourse i can take to insure that i would not be stuck with a vehicle that would be costing me more to have it constantly fixed and replace. i thank you for your help and assistance in this long and tiring ordeal. i anxiously await hearing from you. respectfully yours. *ak
The theft-deterrent alarm goes off for no reason when parked and locked up. the oil pressure gauge moves eratically, dome lights and floor lights come on by themself and sometime stay on for a long time and sometime consistantly flash off and on, radio shuts off when turn engine off(not suppose to), and check engine light came on for a few days then just went off. the dealer replaced the bcm #9385236 but vehicle is still not fixed after several visits back to dealer.
Spare tire restraint failed to remain locked while driving over bumps or holes. arm would swing open and out into incoming traffic with tire still attached, also the vehicle fishtails at very low speeds while driving in snowy weather.*ak *mj
