I have a 2006 aveo. every since we bought it when you apply the brake it speeds up. it does not do this all the time. this last time i almost t-boned a truck. i stopped it by turning off the key and just avoided a wreck. have you had any other complaints about this? i contacted the dealer when this first happened and they said that nothing was wrong with the car. after what has happened with toyota i'm concerned. *tr

While driving at about 60 mph on the freeway a car sped up on the left side of me while i was merging into the left lane, i swerved to the right but still had control of the car until all of a sudden the brake locked and the car shut off and started to spin out of control and almost flipped over. i did not stomp on the brake or turn the wheel very hard at all, the car seems very unbalanced when driving defensively which i believe could cause a car flip. thank god the oncoming traffic stopped. *jb
