2006 8.1 liter 2500 avalanche cut out going down the highway. we were stranded for about 30 minutes during which time we called onstar for help. the vehicle restarted and also reset the engine hour meter to zero. we brought it into our dealer tom bannon chevrolet and they could find no problem. i read where this is a problem and you are researching it. add us to your list of people it happened to. the reporting date is approximate. i would have to verify with hotel records. *jb
