Problems with 2017 Cadillac XT5 EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 cadillac xt5. the contact stated that the headlights (intelebeams) were designed to automatically illuminate when approaching a vehicle. the lights were supposed to deactivate when approaching an oncoming vehicle on the other side of the road. the contact stated that the intelebeams were not operating consistently. the lights turned off and on without any effort from the contact. the failure caused the vehicle not to start sometimes due to a drained battery. the intelebeams were supposed to be able to be manually turned on and off, but they would not shut off on a consistent basis. the contact was concerned of a possible crash or road rage incident if the failure was not repaired. the vehicle was taken to american chevrolet cadillac muncie (6580 w hometown blvd, muncie, in 47304, (765) 212-3294) and the contact was provided a loaner vehicle, but the failure recurred. the dealer was instructed by the manufacturer not to repair the vehicle anymore. the contact was in the middle of a lemon law lawsuit. the failure mileage was 2,000. *tt*jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 cadillac xt5. while washing the vehicle in the driveway, the contact noticed that the interior of the passenger side headlight assembly was cloudy. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (ingersoll auto cadillac in danbury, connecticut) who stated that there was no failure and the vehicle was designed that way. the dealer further stated that the headlight assembly would eventually dry out with the heat from the head lamp. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the issue. the approximate failure mileage was 2,699.

#1 i have problem viewing thru windshield because light beige dashboard reflecting onto the inside of the windshield (sun glare)... #2 i have hard to see rearview when back up because too dim backup lamps...
