Problems with 2011 Cadillac Escalade AIR BAGS

On average, the 2011 Cadillac Escalade starts to “feel” problems with the AIR BAGS and its various aspects after 106 604 miles.

My vehicle has a recall on it for the takata airbags. i spoke to general motors (conversation #[xxx]) and they said there is nothing that can be done until nhtsa provides a solution. the fact remains i am driving a vehicle with an outstanding recall that i can't get fixed. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tt

It is clearly outlined on the gm and nhtsa websites that my specific vehicle has a defective airbag by the takata corporation based on a finding in 2016. i do not understand why i am not allowed to make my vehicle safe and must "wait" per the gm website which states recall status is: incomplete. remedy not yet available. what do i need to do to get the airbags replaced with safe ones in order to make my vehicle safe for me and my family to drive in? let this be notice that if anything happens to me or my family due to the three (3) year delay and current remedy of "not yet available" to make my vehicle safe i will take all appropriate legal action against all parties involved!! i want my vehicle approved to be repaired!!

Takata recall. my car has been under recall since 2016. the cadillac dealer is refusing to replace the faulty airbag(s). i contacted gm online, they claim they have replacement airbags from takata but gm doesn't deem it necessary to make the replacement on my vehicle at this time. is the nhtsa airbag recall an optional recall to be performed or refused by the manufacturer?? when will you all get serious and make gm/cadillac comply with the recall and replace the defective airbags????

I has been over a year since the recall and gm states that they don't have a remedy. why? when will the remedy be available? why have a recall if you can't remedy the problem. simply replace the item!!

Takata recall cadillac dealers in the la area are saying they do not have parts to replace airbags. it has been almost a year and a half! when i called gm they say the airbag is fine and it is only a preliminary recall and does not need to be replaced and so they are not supplying the dealers with the parts. yes my vehicle is on the recall list!

Takata recall letter received from gm cadillac nearly 2 (or 2+) years ago. have been to tom peacock dealership that i purchased the vehicle from every 4-6 months since then. told every time that they can't help, they don't know when replacements bags will be in. i purchased my vehicle from gm cadillac - not takata. i want gm cadillac to replace these defective air bags immediately.
