Tl* the contact owned a 2004 cadillac cts equipped with uniroyal tiger paw touring tires, size: 235/55r17 99hm+s (na). while driving approximately 25 mph on slightly wet roads, the vehicle began to hydroplane, drove into a ditch, and crashed into a tree. the vehicle's tires failed to gain traction in order for the contact to gain control of the vehicle. the air bags failed to deploy. the vehicle was destroyed and towed. a police report was filed. the contact received face, arm, and back injuries that required medical attention. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vin and dot number were unknown. the approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 143,000.
Two tires had tread separation. both were replaced with new tires after 9,000. the brand name is 'nankang', made in korea, size 245-50-16 radial. they were purchased at big o tire company. *tr
2004 cadillac cts tire blew out. *ts the consumer subsequently lost control of the vehicle and struck another car. *jb
Excessive tire wear.
April 2005, notified of tire deterioration - 12,000 miles on new vehicle. july 2005, dead battery with car. august 2005, car shut itself down while on interstate 80. unable to use any automatic equipment. august 2005 notified of tire deterioration again, 18,000 miles. this is a lot of problems both mechanical and with the tires in a relatively short period. tires and mechanical problem i believe to be a manufactures defect.
I purchased new american eagle goodyear tires for my 2004 cadillac cts from wal-mart just recently. i have experienced 2 side wall blow outs on these tires, in which the tread seperates from the side wall, at this point these tires are very dangerous to me and should be checked. please advise me. *ak
