The side detection system has failed so i no longer have mirror blind spot protection. the problem is also causing problems with the instrument cluster failing. the issue is exactly like the one covered by bulliten 16-na-178 for other gm vehicles of the same model years which use the same system. gm should recall all the cars that used this system, not just some as it is a serious safety issue as the whole cluster can go dead while the car is being driven.
