While driving vehicle stalled. consumer managed to pull over, and had the vehicle towed. dealerships mechanic was notified, but did not resolve the problem. *ak

At 43,000 miles my 2002 buick rendevous lost freon. the buick dealer quoted me $848.00 to fix. i found a service bulletin on a 2001 pontiac aztek with similar problems.*ak both the rendevous and aztek share components from gm. they fixed the ac condenser and 2 seal of the condenser. also they recharged the freon. after i asked about a sevice bulletin on the rendevous, gm paid for the fix with a $100 copay.

Purchased 3/1/04 and got a free oil change in mail because it was sold to me when it already needed an oil change. i had to keep adding oil. i called because salesperson said he had to be there when they fixed several things on it. 1st time, i sat 3 hrs to get it fixed. 2nd time after 2 messages to salesman w/o response, i called and took it to get fixed again. 3rd time i took it down there to show them the results of oil consumption test and they didn't fix my windshield leak again, my air quit working when i got it back after 2nd time. they want me to pay to have engine tore down and pay my deductible for the 2nd time in a month. i am a full time student and appraiser. my car is my livelihood and i am loosing alot of money. earl dunn buick in tennessee doesn't care after the sale. i guess we know where and why car salesmen get their reputations. *nm

While driving at any speed and when the air conditioner is used interior will not cool in the vehicle. consumer contacted the dealer, and dealer found that air conditioner condencer malfunctioned. also, dashboard lights flashed and went out. then vehicle stalled at any speed. *ak

2002 buick rendezvous sudden electrical failures while vehicle in operation. the most recent event occurred on friday, august 8 while traveling in idaho springs, co while driving on straight level road and not accelerating nor decelerating -- i was maintaining a constant 40 mph and had the vehicle simply cut off and was unable to control. fortunately, we came to stop before crashing. this is the fourth incident of the type since we have had the vehicle. dealership and general motors are unable to determine the cause of the failures and has returned the car to me with the caution that "condition did not reoccur. due to infrequency of condition, customer needs to drive to see if condition is repaired." i am concerned for the safety of my family and others because of the sudden, unpredictable failures. are there other 2002 buick rendezvous vehicles with similar reported problems? *nlm

Automobile cuts off and does not want to restart. then, steering locks , and she cannot get it to unlock until she beats on it for 5-10 minutes. then, it releases. she has had it to 3 different dealerships, and they all told her that they could fix the problem because they could not get the vehicle to duplicate the problem.*ak

While the driver attempted to turn a corner the vehicle stalled. *nlm

The heater fans do not work properly. the dealer says the heater meets specifications but admitted that they had 4 other buick rendezvous' in the shop that day with the same complaint. i know two other people with a 2002 buick rendezvous who have the same problem.

Consumer states vehicle stalls intermittently without warning while driving. dealer has not been able to duplicate or diagnose problem. ts

On four prior occasions for sudden catastrophic electrical system failure / stalling while the vehicle is in operation, this creates a major hazard to safe operation of the vehicle. the dealership and general motors have been unable to isolate / replicate and effect repairs for this intermittent nonconformity, yet they have expect us to continue operating the vehicle while they knowingly have failed to effect repair. my wife and i are afraid to operate the vehicle in its condition and jeopardize our safety by operating a vehicle that is unsafe for highway operation. given the nature of the problem, automobile appraisers state our vehicle is worthless for sale or trade. current mileage 18187.
