We have classified the 3 complaints from 2002 Buick LeSabre about WHEELS into the following categories.
Trip check showed: fuel leak under engine cover, front wheel drive shaft oil leaking fluid, power steering leaking fluid. air bag light came on after the horn was hit hard, after about 20 minutes it went of, technician couldn't find anything wrong with it.
Replaced left front wheel bearing aug 2005 (50500 mi) then in dec 2006 (73600 mi) had to replace right one. suspect those failures have been factor in rotors needing to be turned. *jb
Right wheel bearing going bad at 72000 miles. the left one was replaced at 50000 mildx
2002 buick lasabre limited has aluminum alloy wheels that are seriously corroding at the sealing rim causing a serious loss of tire air pressure. we had to pay our buick dealer to clean and epoxy coat the wheels to stop the leaking. it failed to resolve the problem. we have to check the tire air pressure every day or 150 miles or the tires can become so deflated that they are unsafe. this issue is just as serious as the ford explorer/firestone tire issue and no one at buick or gm will admit they have a problem. *tr
I have lost 6 plastic wheel lug covers (gm part #09595118) since august 23, 2002. the first incident took place 8/23/02 while driving 60mph on rte 17 in nys. on sept 13, 2003 i lost two more while driving 30mph. in february 2003 and on aug 1, 2003 i lost one each. i always check that they are on tight, but they still drop off.*ak
