You are driving down the road at night and for no reason the headlights go out. you hit the high beams and in a few minutes they go out. had this car to the dealers at least 4 times and they keep replacing the relay and a month or two later it does the same thing. we have a lot of dark roads here in ohio and you can be coming into a curve and the lights go out. you can't see a thing. gm claims they don't have a permanent fix for the problem.

Purchased a 2007 buick lacrosse less than 2 months ago. within the first month the low beam head lights went out. took back to the dealer and they replaced the head light module. no the low beams are not working again. now the dealer is telling me i have a faulty fuse block under the hood.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 buick lacrosse. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and all of the warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the technician diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. after taking it back to the dealer, the computer and traction control were replaced, but the failure persisted. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 46,000.

I was getting off of work and as i tried to open my car i noticed the remote wasn't work. as i approached my vehicle i smelled something burnt. figured it was coming from the alley. i noticed my windshield wipers were up. i manually opened the car and it smelled worse of burnt. noticed that nothing was working inside my vehicle. i call security to come and help me and as we open the hood it smelled just as bad. we noticed that the fuse box had a melted hole in it. once it opened several fused were burnt. i have read that several people have had the same issue. i wish u let us upload pictures of this incident. what if while driving my car had caught on fire or something worse could have happened to me or my child. luckily i was out of my vehicle when this problem occurred. this issue has to be looked at. now i have to tow my car out of my work garage pay for that and then pay for my vehicle to get fix which we should definitely get reimbursed for it because it's obvious that this is a recurring issue that has not been fixed. it can turn out to be a big law suit against buick. i had the same issue also with the headlights. i would be driving at night and out of no where my lights would just shut off. had to replace that also. . .updated 07/21/15 *bf updated 11/9/2015 *js

My low-beam headlamps went out on january 9, 2015, which i was not aware of until a police officer pulled me over indicating to me that i had no headlights. i had to drive home with my high beams on. i had to leave work early all last week in order to get home before dark. i went on line yesterday and typed in my make model and year of my vehicle and found out that there is a recall for my type of vehicle for the headlamps. contacted buick and was informed that they can not fix this problem yet because there is no "official" recall for this problem. this is a danger when someone's headlights go out all of the sudden while you are driving at night; this could cause a major accident which could involve lives. they informed me i have to wait to get the "official" notice before they can fix the problem or i can bring in my vehicle and have it looked and fixed at my expense. this is a serious problem and should be taken care asap by buick at their expense, not the expense of the driver of the vehicle informing them that this problem has already occurred? please look into this matter and let me know how soon can i get this problem fixed. thank you. *tr

The car was driven on the freeway. smell of something burning coming from the hood area. take the next exit, smoke start coming out of the hood. stop the car check the hood and the underhood fuse block was burning. the whole fuse is damaged so is the engine harness. it looked like the headlamp driver module and the fog lamp micro-relays were the ones that melted first and cause the fuse box to burn. i couldn't figure out why the fuse box just burned that's why i started looking online if someone else has the same problem. it seems a few people has the same problem. i guess there are unreported cases as well. something should be done before someone get hurt because it looks like this is a problem the 2007 buick lacrosse has. the car has not been fixed yet. still trying to find out if it is still worth fixing...updated 10/05/14 *bf....updated 01/12/15*bf the main wiring harness was replaced. updated 01/15/15*jb updated 3/26/2015 *js

While driving at night, all of a sudden the headlights will turn off leaving you travelling along the highway at 60 to 75 mph (depending on what type of highway, interstate or limited access roadway you are on). this leaves you moving with no idea where there is a safe place to pull over to get out of the travel lanes. this has occurred numerous times, and i am asking to be reimbursed for the expense of repairing this defect. *tr

A improperly shielded wire grounded out and caused the under hood fuseblock to melt, some reports on line state that the car caught on fire from the same problem. came out of restaurant and car wouldn't start. when the hood was raised we could smell burning rubber. had i been driving it could have been very serious reported to gm to try to get reimbursed. said because it wasn't on recall that they could not help us. the purpose of the fuse box as we understand is to prevent this from happening. *tr
