Problems with 2011 Buick Enclave EQUIPMENT

On average, the 2011 Buick Enclave starts to “feel” problems with the EQUIPMENT and its various aspects after 1 000 miles.

Missing easy to view navigation compass in buick enclave driver information center display. because we ordered the optional navigation system to obtain the rear view camera display, our dealer advised us that the compass display cannot be added to the dic display at this time. the nav compass display is hard to view on the left upper screen display, non-intuitive, and unsafe for the driver taking their eyes off the road. and, you must have the nav display enabled. our 2002 buick rendezvous had this dic compass display and the 2011 cadillac srx that we were considering buying. buick marketing/product development made a poor safety decision in not having a redundant compass display for a msrp $48.5k vehicle. i used this dic compass display in unfamiliar driving areas frequently. a market focus customer survey group would have disclosed this issue. we filed a customer complaint form with buick's cac center. but, the dealer advised me the case file would be sent to the dealer instead of to buick marketing/product development! the roominess and value were the main reasons for selecting the enclave. mounting an aftermarket compass in a luxury vehicle is a poor solution! *kb

2011 buick enclave. consumer writes in regards to a missing compass *tgw gm informed the consumer, the vehicle did not come equipped with a compass, because it has a navigation option and therefore was redundant. *jb
