Recently reported STRUCTURE problems on 2001 Audi TT

Audi tt, 2001, roadster. the glove box lock failed without reason. this failure does not allow the passenger side air bag to be disconnected for children as required by law. my car is not the only one with this defect. it is a design failure creating a safety hazard to small passengers. this failure is common to audi tt 2000 thru 2005. needs to be corrected via a recall, an improved glove box lock system. repairing with the same system only leads to recurrent failures. *tr

2001 audi tt 4 transmissions failures, overheating, thermostat fails every 60k, engine plastic parts degrading, alternator failure, engine head failed required replacement, various interior trim problems (e.g. broken stereo cover, glove compartment handle when left in heat with closed windows), instrument cluster replaced, failed again will need replacement fuel gauge reads full all the time, engine vacuum leaks, etc...etc... *tr

Central computer has malfunctioned, causing door locks to jam, preventing occupants from exiting vehicle. also, when driving in rainy weather conditions windshield wiper stopped working, causing poor driver's visibility. consumer has contacted dealer, dealer not sure what was causing the problem. *ak
