After just merging to i695 w from traveling south on i95 vehicle continued to accelerate after going full throttle and would not respond to the brake override. it appeared that the throttle pedal was somehow stuck and would not come back up on its own. the pedal appeared to have gone past its 'normal' motion range and had sunk quite low into the floor. this forced me to have to stand with full force on the brake and unto the shoulder with a full emergency stop required. which in turn caused to brakes to smoke for a few minutes. i have confirmed that it was not the floor mats or any object impeding the travel of the pedal that could have caused the issue. after turning the car off i was able to force-ably return the throttle back to its 'normal' position. i have not since gone wot since this incident happened.
If the vehicle is in neutral gear, it cannot be placed into drive gear, unless you depress the brake. when you place this vehicle in a car wash that pushes the vehicle in the neutral gear, we are unable to shift gear to drive unless you depress the brake. applying the brakes in a moving car wash line is dangerous. if you do not quickly change gears, the vehicle could slip the rollers and potentially cause the vehicle behind it to strike the q7. *tr
