Problems with 2015 Acura TLX VISIBILITY

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 acura tlx. the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph the glass sunroof exploded without impact. the cause of the failure was not determined. the contact indicated that the failure occurred on a clear day with weather temperatures of 60 degrees. the local dealer serramonte acura (475 serramonte blvd, cola ca) was notified of the failure. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 80,000. the vin was not available.

While driving at highway speed, the sunroof exploded upward sending glass into the roadway. with no other vehicles around would lead to a defect in the safety glass. when taken to dealer for warranty repair, ferman acura, the service manager stated acura u ill not cover exploding sunroofs because he was not in the car at the time that it broke and her is not a glass expert to know if it was a defect in the glass that made it exploded, contacted customer service for acura in california, opened a case with [xxx] who could not even tell me how many lugs are on the car she drives, acura case workers have no car knowledge. talking to acura customer service is a joke. my real concern is the safety issue. if the sun shield was open the tempered glass that shattered into thousands of small pieces could fall onto the driver and into his eyes. is this not the reason why the windshield is a safety glass so it will stay intact when broken. at least a clear window film on the inside of the tempered glass in the sunroof would keep the glass from falling on the driver. what will it take to make changes, a car loose control and hit a school bus? and last, acura stated the exploding glass is an insurance issue. i disagree, how many insurance claims are due to defective tempered glass that have a defect when made that the auto company should cover under warranty. the insurance companies are being ripped off by auto companies. and the owners rates go up. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 acura tlx. while driving at various speeds, the chrome finish on the air vent on the front driver and passenger sides produced a glare on the side mirrors. the glare impacted the contact's ability to see out of the side mirrors. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 125.
