Received toyota urgent safety recall letter for defective side curtain-shield-airbags (csa) on 11/7/14. contacted my toyota dealership today (11/10/14) to schedule inspection and garnish replacement, as necessary. had to speak to four service reps before talking to [xxx], service dept. mgr. he informed me they don't have replacement parts for this recall and that letters have gone out already simply to "beat" the press. no parts availability date was offered. they will inspect the vehicle but expect the customer to make a second trip to shop when replacement parts are actually available. classic example, in our opinion, how much these recalls have become a game between car manufacturers and oversight agencies. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
