Problems with 2000 Toyota Tundra ENGINE

On average, the 2000 Toyota Tundra starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 128 107 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2000 Toyota Tundra

Passenger side exhaust manifold warping causing leak which in turn causing vehicle to run improperly and effecting performance and safety issue. engaging accelerator with the leak causes vehicle to sputter and loses power making vehicle unsafe to drive.

While driving on a country highway, the drive power of the engine stalled, even though the engine continued. appears to be a repetative problem with this model of truck.

Rohrich toyota replaced the severely rusted frame on my 2000 tundra in 2009, only after nhtsa directed them to. rohrich toyota after telling me that per my vin i wasn't one of affected owners!? toyota replaced frame and brake lines as well as cross member in 2009. toyota then reattached rusted fuel line to new frame and now rust from old frame has caused the fuel line to leak severely. i called rohrich and toyota america and was denied remedy of replacing fuel line! i am a survivor of open heart surgery and my wife is a disabled diabetic amputee and we need our vehicle for dr's appointments and shopping etc... is there anything you can do to help and soon? Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate before an unknown light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be cleaned out. the repairs were made, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 147,000. the vin was unavailable.

I know about recall on rust corrosion. the same thing has happened to my exhaust system. the front port on both manifolds are leaking. i have already replaced both cat. converters and the resonator. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the contact stated that he received a manufacturer's recall in regards to the chassis. the vehicle was serviced per the recall however, two weeks later he started to notice other failures with the vehicle. the contact noticed that the check engine light illuminated and the suspension on the vehicle would not support the weight from his trailer. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where they advised him that the oxygen sensor and evaporation system failed, and the entire suspension system would need replacing. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 96,000. the current mileage was approximately 98,000.
