Driver side mirror paint was melted in normal usage conditions in san diego california. dealer blames "surrounding buildings in where i parked" or "buses and rv's with large windows that may have been driving along me on freeway" and reflection of sunshine. this is nonsense. the painted mirror, supposedly an upgrade, has a manufacturing defect as its plastic storage frame is painted with the same type of paint use to paint the metal on the rest of the body of the car. if dealer's "diagnosis" is correct then possibility of a fire both in parking position or whilt driving on freeway exists.
