ACCELERATOR PEDAL 3 CRUISE CONTROL 1

Recently reported VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL problems on 2005 Toyota Sienna

Driving on the highway, let off the gas though kept accelerating, braked as hard as possible without any effect, shifted to neutral and continued to accelerate

From driving normal speed, car cap out at 20 mph at highway. almost got into wreck. check engine light came on as is happened. i took it to auto zone . manager checked and said it happened to his 2014 corolla, toyota covered variable transmission celenoid under recall. he said to call toyota or dealership. dealership is saying, there is no recall for this kind of safety issue.

Husband pulled into parking spot in front of a store, he was completely stopped in the spot and before he could put in park it suddenly accelerated full rev, hopped the curb and hit the building. while up against the building it was still in full rev. finally it stopped and he backed it back over the curb. van went about three feet into the building. tire on front passenger side was flattened. van has been totaled. thank god no one was in front of our van.

While on the road, infrequently as we start hitting continuous curves, the beeping starts with slip control symbol coming on. the brakes engage on their own. it doesn't seem to matter how fast or slow we take the curves. i have no control over the vehicle at that point and it starts braking itself for few seconds. very dangerous on the curves and especially if someone is behind you.

Takata inflators - when driving in city 30mph or freeway 50-60mph in curvy path, the unti-skid lock turns off even if the road was dry. when it happened frequently and a motorcycle almost slammed from behind, i brought my van to the dealer and it shows no record of the unti-skid lock being on. i insisted to take precautions and they did a zero calibration, changed new tires and realignment but problem persist. i brought it back with the same complaint but they claimed the they never had any other customer with the same problem. i reached online yet there were many others. i hope you can help me on this. the dealer can't figure out this problem and just washed their hands. this happened multiple times already and afraid to drive my van.

When driving through sweeping turns on dry, paved roads, the vehicle's vsc engages, causing vehicle to self brake, pulling to the left (toward oncoming traffic), and the vsc light on the dash to blink and beep. this puts the passengers of my car in danger, as well as those in vehicles around us who are not expecting a sudden application of brakes or swerving into neighboring lane. my vehicle has been inspected at an independent mechanic with no findings which would warrant the vehicle to engage in such activity. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stability control off warning light illuminated and engine would surge, the rpms would decrease and the vehicle would jerk to the left. the contact indicated that the failure would occur for approximately 10 seconds. the cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 145,000.

I was backing out of my garage and i have an l shaped driveway. i was going approx. 2mph and then i took my foot off the gas and was "covering" the brake and suddenly the car began to accelerate and i tried to brake, but the car slammed into a parked car and still did not stop. it continued to accelerate until i ended up in the street. i was trying to brake the entire time, but the car did not stop and continued to accelerate. my foot was not on the gas. we live on a residential street in the suburbs and luckily no one was hurt. the sienna and the parked car both have extensive body damage.

Shift control didn't work and van rolled away. we also had an issue backing out of our garage and the car sped up and went out of control. the van was out of control and finally stopped out in the street. this van scared the day lights out of us. complete defect

On monday, oct. 13, 2014, i was slowly backing out of my driveway when my 2005 toyota sienna van suddenly accelerated rapidly and uncontrollably. i tried to stop the van, but it sped backwards across the street in front of my house, ran over a curb, and crashed into a parked car. the car that my van struck pushed into another car which was also damaged. this was most frightening and upsetting, especially since i have learned that this type of malfunction has been reported many times to toyota. my van was totaled, the second car may have been totaled and the third car will need at least a new door. a woman who was in the third car is claiming to have been injured. *tr

Driving 45 to 50 mph on a road on a dry sunny day. suddenly vsc light came on and warning beep and at the same time the brakes engaged causing a rapid slow down of the van. i almost swerved into the next lane due to the brakes engaging. this happened 3 times in one morning. this is extremely dangerous as it could cause a collision, especially at higher speeds. *tr

The accelerator stuck on this van as i was passing another vehicle on a rural, two lane road. as soon as i depressed the accelerator to pass, i knew something was wrong. the gas pedal stayed down even after i removed my foot and the van continued to accelerate even faster even though i was now hitting the brakes hard! with curves in the road approaching in about a mile, i had to do something fast! i was standing on the brakes with both feet now and the van continued to speed up. i was able to shift it into neutral, all the while continuing to stand on the brakes. the engine revved even faster but i was able to get the van turned off the road into a farm field access drive. the van still wasn't stopping but at least i was off the road and not going to hit another vehicle. as the van continued to move, i thought about bailing out but thankfully, i didn't. the van was still going fast enough it could've run over me and i had no idea where it would end up if i got out! by the grace of god, the van finally stopped after i started turning the wheel hard to the left. i shifted it into park and shut it off while i sat there shaking and trying to decide who to call first. this situation could have turned out extremely bad had the circumstances been different. thank god there was no one in front of me while this was going on, i wasn't in a congested area of houses or other vehicles or on a busy highway. i'm so glad one of our boys wasn't driving this when it happened! this was the scariest thing that's ever happened to me while driving over 30 years! the van was towed to the dealership where we purchased it and have had it serviced faithfully. i'm waiting to hear back from them when they will be able to look at it. *tr

On hwy 1 from pacifica to santa cruz, driving approx, 45-50mph around the bends and curves, the van's vsc light would come on along with warning beeping and the car would try to "correct" itself by steering straight when i needed it not to. this happened again approx. 1-2 months later while driving along hwy 50, at approx. 45-50mph up to south lake tahoe on the same dry, but winding/curvy roads, the car would try to "correct" itself by steering straight. again, on june 17th, along hwy 50 approx. 45-50mph just taking the exit off of the freeway, steering into the right hand turn lane, the car vsc light, beeping and steering "correction". this is very dangerous!!!! i am surprised that it has not caused an accident yet!. i need the car to turn for a reason!! please feel free to contact me for further information. i took it to the toyota dealership and they said that the van had no logs from the sensors (steering angle or yaw). we asked them to recalibrate it (set it back to zero), but that obviously hasn't worked. i have ordered a new steering angle sensor and i am having it installed and the system recalibrated, in hopes that will fix the issue. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the contact stated that while at a stop sign attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to approximately 25 mph. the vehicle failed to slow down or stop although the brake pedal was engaged. the contact stated that after turning the engine off and restarting it, the vehicle operated as normal. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted in reference to the failure. the failure mileage was 79,000.

2005 sienna was driven to a parking garage and parked for two hours. upon returning to the sienna and starting the engine, three lights came on; check engine, vsc, and trac off. drove vehicle home (150 miles), the 3 lights remained on as well as loss of cruise control and an intermittent compass display. took vehicle in for inspection at a local toyota dealer and was told the skid control unit ecu needed to be replaced. i found out there are other complaints and a technical service bulletin on the 2005 sienna vehicle stability control (also called electronic stability control) system that has caused injuries. even more remarkable, my 2005 sienna has only 62k miles and in that time there has been 2 other incidences with the same symptoms. why has there not been a recall if there are already injuries in the database?? *tr

2005 toyota sienna's vehicle stability control engaged for no reason while in many different conditions (dry, wet, curve, straight, it didn't matter) making me lose control of the car. the vsc, trac off and check engine lights came on and a beeping sound engaged while the care took over not allowing driver input. i had to put it in neutral until it turned off. i have read many accounts online of other toyota sienna drivers experiencing the same dangerous problem. thank goodness when it has happened, i haven't had a truck or semi next to me. this is my family car in which i need to drive my kids and other people's kids, and i cannot drive it anymore. toyota has to fix this problem, since it is a manufacturer problem. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the contact stated the vehicle abnormally accelerate as she had just taken the gear shift out of park.. the contact was unable to control the vehicle and crashed into the rear of another vehicle. there were no injuries reported. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where the contact was awaiting diagnosis. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure and the current mileage was 62,005. ....updated 06/18/12 *bf the consumer stated one month before the accident, the vehicle would not start. the vehicle was inspected, but a problem was never found. the vehicle idled rough and it was noisy. updated 06/22/12

During the turning of the steering wheel to the left at 5-10 mph, in making a left turn, clicks and clunking noise could be heard and felt through the steering wheel. at one point, i had to apply bigger turning force to the left as if i was overcoming some unusual resistance in the steering column, making the turn uneasy and non-smooth. *tr

My wife had sudden acceleration issue with our 2005 toyota sienna le mini-van. when she was dropping our son outside our apartment complex at under 15 mph, car magically accelerated and ended up hitting a tree. front passenger was totally damaged and car is totaled. we had approx 65k miles on minivan. *tr

2005 toyota sienna uncontrolled acceleration on the highway. my wife was passing another vehicle, and when she merged back into the right lane, the vehicle maintained speed even though she let off of the accelerator. she managed to get it under control within a few seconds. this is the 2nd time that this has happened. the vehicle has 64,000 miles. *tr

2005 toyota sienna. attorney writes on behalf of clients in regards to a collision due to unintended acceleration *tgw as the consumer was slowly attempting to park the vehicle, it suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated out of control. the vehicle hit a pole directly ahead, went airborne and landed on top of a parked vehicle and rolled to the side. the consumers left hand fingers were crushed causing injuries. *jb

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the vehicle was parked with the engine running. the contact engaged the brakes and the vehicle began to lunge forward and accelerated into a building. the building sustained moderate damages. the police were not called to the scene. there was no personal injury; and the vehicle's front bumper paint exhibited minor chipping. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to replicate the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

While very slowly pulling my 2005 toyota sienna minivan into a parking space, when the vehicle had nearly come to a complete stop, all of a sudden the vehicle accelerated to full throttle, hopping over the concrete bumper at end of parking space and crashing head on into a pole. the vehicle was towed to a dealer and is awaiting inspection by the insurance adjuster. *tr

I had a sudden acceleration incident in my 2005 toyota sienna. i was making a slow u-turn in front of my home into a parking space by the curb on the far side of the street. the width of the street is such that even with the steering wheel turned fully to the left, the passenger tire rises up a driveway incline just before the car is 180 degrees around. as i usually do for this turn, i need to turn slightly more than 180 degrees, have the passenger tire come out of the driveway, then turn back to be parallel to the curb. i had slightly misjudged the turn this time, and realized that my passenger tire was going to have to drop an inch or two off the rising curb at the edge of the driveway. because of this i am certain i had my foot on the brake pedal to keep my speed down. about 5 feet before the wheel was going to come off the curb, the car lurched forward, jumped the curb violently and fast, and continued my turn carrying me partly back into the street. i was very surprised, but brought the car to a stop quickly with the brake. the engine was no longer revving once i stopped. i estimate tat the acceleration lasted for not more than 2 seconds, possibly only 1 second. i reversed the car and then drove it forward into my intended parking space. after putting the shifter into p, i revved the engine and everything seemed fine. fortunately, there was no accident and no damage i am aware of (although the passenger wheel did make a thump as it came over the curb). *tr

I was pulling into a parking space in a shopping center parking lot when my 2005 toyota sienna suddenly accelerated and my van lurched forward into a tree. this has never happened before to me in this, or any other vehicle. as a result of the crash, my car was not drivable and had to be towed from the scene. i filed a police report, as well as a claim with my insurance carrier. i have since filed a complaint with toyota, but have not yet heard from the inspector assigned to my case. currently, the van is at a body shop awaiting inspection by the toyota representative before anything else is done. *tr

2005 toyota sienna had cruise control on. the vehicle began to 'shake' and the speedometer climbed to 80 mph then down to 60 mph. it didn't seem to actually be accelerating--it felt like the vehicle was fighting to not lose power. i deactivated the cruise control by touching the breaks. i pulled off the freeway, turned the motor off, waited and started again at a slower speed without the cruise control on. after a while the vehicle again began to 'buck and shake', the speedometer raced to 80 mph (though the car itself) did not seem to have rapid acceleration) then the speedometer dropped to 50 mph. over the phone my husband advised i turn on the cruise control and turn it off again. i did and drove about 45 minutes home at speeds from 55-65 without another incident. i will take the car to a dealership tomorrow to check out. the vehicle has approx. 100,000 miles on it. *tr

Our 2005 toyota sienna took off on us in rush hour traffic. moving my foot to the brake and my husband shifting into neutral was the first thing we tried, we also tried park and reverse, and turning off the cruise control, none of which worked. the toyota sienna death trap continued to accelerate rapidly even though my foot was jammed on the brake (i didn't remove my foot from the brake for another 2 1/2 hrs until the tow truck pulled in front of us. by the way, when your vehicle is suddenly traveling much, much faster than anyone else's vehicle on the road, it's all you can do to not hit someone. believe me, i was suddenly swerving in and out of the lanes and cutting everyone off. the only thing that stopped our toyota death trap was pulling the key from the ignition, certainly not ideal in rush hour traffic. while this was going on, our son was in the backseat calling 911, while our daughter cried. we don't have a lawyer and toyota won't fix our van. what are we supposed to do with it? *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the contact stated while utilizing the cruise control at 40 mph, the vehicle abnormally accelerated without driver intent. the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. there were no repairs made to the vehicle. the failure mileage was 90,000. updated 05/26/10 *bf the consumer stated the only way to stop the vehicle was by pulling the key out of the ignition. updated 05/28/10.*jb updated 06/29/10.*jb updated 07/08/10.*jb

Will someone please call me asap. my toyota sienna suddenly accelerated last week in des moines, ia. toyota is saying that sienna's are not under recall. i was traveling with my husband and two children. the brakes could not stop the vehicle, nor did shifting it into neutral, park, or reverse. the only thing that worked was pulling the key from the ignition at about 75 miles per hour. the toyota sienna is a time bomb. the sudden acceleration of my sienna has happened at least two other times. toyota is claiming that the floor mats caused it, but my husband and i checked the floor mats, they were not the problem. toyota wants us to come get the van but it's not safe. from nhtsa web site. updated 05/24/10 updated 03/09/11 updated 06/23/14

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to 55 mph. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership but the dealer could not duplicate the problem. the failure mileage was approximately 105,000. the current mileage was approximately 110,000.

We own a 2005 toyota sienna that has had an ongoing sudden acceleration problem since we bought the car new in 2005. the engine will suddenly accelerate when turning the car at lower speeds. this problem has been documented hundreds and hundreds of times, by sienna owners on siennaclub.com (no longer in use) and on siennachat.com. the members on these sites have complained to toyota for years about this problem. we have taken the car in for "reprogramming" but that did not fix the situation. *tr

3 times in the past 5 days (once last friday 2/19 and twice today 2/23) my 2005 toyota sienna has lunged forward while driving in traffic at 35 mph. i did not feel the pedal move under my foot. the surge was momentarily, but had there been anything close, i would have hit it. i drove immed to bell toyota, phoenix, az and was turned away at the service dept (it is not on the recall list and there was nothing they could do) they suggested i call toyota. i called toyota, they suggested i go to a dealership. i emailed toyota corp. they suggested i go to a dealership. bell rd toyota offered to do a diagnostic check for a $108.00 fee. i called wright toyota, scottsdale and they agreed to do a health insp. for free. *tr

The electronic throttle control system on my van is malfunctioning and it puts the vehicle in "fail safe" mode. the local toyota dealer as well as toyota customer service do not want to investigate this recurring problem for the dtc p0121. the dealers do not analyze the freeze frame data or investigate the problem beyond reading the code from obd ii scanner. i had asked them for the electrical values for the throttle valve motor and the accelerator pedal but they have refused that information and want me to replace the throttle body by spending $1200.00. the first time this problem started when the vehicle had 50,000 miles and i replaced the throttle body from same year and model vehicle with 20,000 miles. now after 10,000 miles same problem has started again and the dealer as well as toyota want me to replace the throttle body. i feel that the throttle body or the gas pedal in conjunction with other electrical components are causing the dtc code and merely replacing the throttle body second time will not fix the problem unless the newer throttle bodies are without the problem original throttle bodies had. in that case i should not have to pay for the replacement part. it is important that the problem is investigated and identified before any parts are replaced. i also offered toyota the original throttle body from the vehicle for testing / checking for the problem but they refused my offer. this sudden loss of drivebility due to the activation of "fail safe" mode is dangerous and could result in accident and / or fatality. any help in this matter will be appreciated. *tr

I have a 2005 toyota sienna and it also has acceleration problems like the ones listed by toyota. the car jumps speed all of a sudden. i think they should be looked at for safety reasons also considering many people take kids in these vans. *tr

After i read the article about apple inc. co-founder steve "woz" wozniak's experience about his 2010 prius, i was relieved somewhat from my own doubt and confusion. i bought a used 2005 sienna xle limited (with radar sensor) last november with 95000 mileage. it accelerated unintentionally several times when i was using cruise control with only single push of the acceleration handle. i once let the car went up to 90 mph before i braked it off from the cruise control mode. the acceleration was very powerful when it malfunctioned. all happened in several seconds. you could hear the engine revering loudly towards full speed. i had no problem to brake it off every time though. i also believe it is an electronic or software problem since none of my feet was on any pedal when this happened and there was no floor mat issue at all. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna . while approaching a complete stop the vehicle lurched forward. consequently he crashed into some bushes, and then into a boulder. the vehicle was taken to a toyota dealer, and a technician repaired the front bumper and all other body damages. the technician then added that his vehicle was not included in the recent toyota recall for the floor mats. the failure mileage was 52000 . the current mileage was 55000. updated 3/16/10 *cn updated 07/27/10*jb

While pulling into the driveway and slowing to a stop, the car suddenly lurched and then accelerated forward, pushing the car through the garage door and about 10 feet into the garage before the engine stopped revving and came to a stop. the rollup garage door was destroyed. the impact scraped the front bumper of the car and made a small dent on the roof near the top of the windshield. *tr

I purchased my toyota sienna in june 2008. this past summer(2009) and fall my wife complained that the vehicle accelerated own its own twice. both occurrences were in parking lots when she was coming to a complete stop, suddenly the car lunged forward. she was lucky both times with no accidents. i initially brushed it off thinking she accidentally hit the gas pedal and didn't realize it. with the recent recalls i am surprised that the sienna has not been recalled. now, i am concerned about the vehicle's safety (which is why i bought the toyota in the 1st place). i would please like my sienna looked at for the same acceleration recall issue. *tr

While driving from ca to va in may of 2009 i experienced an unintended acceleration while in cruise control. this occurred after i would slow down for traffic and then activate the resume control. this happened on several occasions during the trip east and on the return trip back to ca. the speeds with the unintended acceleration reached 95mph on the first occasion and stopped once i applied the brakes. after the first incident i was able to keep the acceleration from reaching more than 10 to 15 mph over the assigned cruise control speed. *tr

2009: one incident several months to a year ago if i am not mistaken that my car accelerated. it felt like my car had increased by a significant amount in mph. i thought i pressed the gas. i attempted to accelerated a bit but the car appeared to accelerate on its own. i believe i stepped on the brake at some point but it did not change the acceleration. i can't say if i put on brakes first to slow myself down or accelerated. however, i do know neither one affected the car from the acceleration. the acceleration stopped on its own. i have not had any other incident but i am acutely cautious when driving because that incident did seem unusual and worrisome at the time. i did not report b/c i placed it as isolated. i , however, want to ensure the safety of others and my family. i am sure of this experience as an occurrence that should be reported. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. while driving between 5-6 mph, another vehicle ran a stop sign and struck the left rear driver's side of the contact's vehicle. her vehicle fish-tailed and turned to the left. the vehicle accelerated and struck another vehicle. the contact had no control over the vehicle. she attempted to place the vehicle into park, but was unsuccessful. the engine revved and the vehicle accelerated again. the vehicle struck a curb, a boulder, and then a palm tree before coming to a complete stop. the brakes failed to operate during the incident. a police report was filed and there were no injuries. the vehicle was towed to a gmc dealer and they test drove the vehicle, but were unable to duplicate the failure. the vehicle is still at the gmc dealer and will be appraised. the failure and current mileages were 40,000. updated 5/7/09 *cn updated 05/11/09.*jb

On or about october 31, 2008, a 2005 toyota sienna xle accelerated suddenly and unexpectedly. the driver steered the vehicle around cars, curbs and other obstructions while the vehicle continued to accelerate through a parking lot. attempts to brake the vehicle were futile. the vehicle eventually hit a curb which deflated a tire, then continued through a chain-link fence and a field and into a portable building, finally coming to a stop. the driver was injured in the unintended acceleration incident and died. updated 02/26/10 *bf *tr updated 09/28/10 update 9/19/2011*cw

July 2008 i was driving my 2005 toyota sienna i was on the ramp to enter the highway doing 35mph when my car suddenly jumped to 75mph without me touching the gas pedal. i stayed calm because my kids were in the car with and i didn't want to scare them. thank god i jumped in the next lane where were not to many cars and just pressed the brake pedal hard thank god the car slowed down . i knew something was wrong with the car. i took to the mechanic he found nothing out of place . it later happened again maybe two weeks late this time i was on city streets and did the basically the same thing as before. i recently saw reports and i was not alone and was something very wrong with the toyota system. please do something before any more people get hurt. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. while driving 65 mph the vehicle accelerated and moved to one side of the road; however, after the engine shut off it reset and began driving normally. the contact stated that the duplicate failure occurred in 2009 and the accelerator pedal was stuck. the contact had to reach down and pull the pedal from the stuck position. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that there was nothing wrong with it. the contact stated that the failure occurred at least three to four times. the toyota manufacturer has not been notified. the failure mileage was 42,000.

Toyota 2005 sienna limited xle when using cruise control (we only use this on highway while traveling so this occurs at that time. when we take the cruise off and then restart it is accelerates and fortunately we can brake to get it incontrol, for example , if we have the cruise set at 70 and disengage when we reengaged it will automatically accelerate for 90 miles or greater. we took it to our toyota dealer and he said it could be the linkage - we have been told by a mechanic that there is no such thing in the 2005 toyota this is a continuing problem. *tr

2005 toyota sienna xle - cruise control will not hold when going downhill. dealer checked it, contacted toyota tech. support. they were told this model is not designed for cruise control to hold going downhill! i contacted toyota via e-mail and was told the same thing. i have owned many cars and never have had cruise control not hold on a downhill road. it will be set at 60 and continue going as high as 80 when brakes applied. this is a danger, defect, something is not right with such a design. i am putting in a recent date, but it has occurred since the vehicle was purchased. number of failures is on-going. *nm

Toyota sienna 2005. intermittently the car accelerates on its own. has been happening since i bought it. never thought much about it, because it would slow down when i put on brakes. in light of the recent problems with other models, i think this is part of the problem. the car feels as if it was on cruise control, getting up to speed. however, i have never used cruise control as i don't like it. is there a link between the cruise control and these problems? *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 toyota sienna. while driving at various speeds, the vehicle decelerates on its own. the vehicle jerks when the contact depresses the accelerator pedal. the dealer reprogrammed the software for the throttle, however, the failure still occurs. the current mileage was 35,300 and failure mileage was 1,000. updated 01/09/08. *lj the consumer stated has had problems with the door of the vehicle. updated 12/12/07 *tr

On several instances when you let off the gas to go around a corner then when you accelerate nothing happens then the engine tries to compensate by over revving. on another occasion pulled into traffic, stepped on the gas nothing happened for several seconds, almost broadsided. *nm

I pulled into a parking lot and made a right turn to pull into a parking space. i was halfway into the space, my foot was on the brake pedal, when i felt the van jerk-it then suddenly accelerated, went over the raised curb in front, onto the exit lane of the shopping center, turned around back into the parking lot(the wheel was turned to the right still),hit the building breaking a couple of windows, and then came to a stop after hitting a barricaded dumpster along the way. all the while i was hitting the brakes, but they didn't seem to work. the airbag deployed in the process, the front of the van was badly damaged. thankfully there were no pedestrians in the lot and i didn't hit any other vehicle and my son and i walked away with minor injuries. i have contacted toyota. they inspected the van last week and i am waiting to hear their report. the van hasn't been fixed yet-i am waiting to hear from toyota as to the next course of action. about an hour before this incident occurred, i was pulling out of another parking space in reverse, when the van just stopped and didn't move. i restarted it,put it on reverse and then it moved alright, was bumpy-i thought a tire was flat-stopped and checked to see all of them-they were fine, and after that all was smooth and well until the crash. *jb
