Having an issue with my rear right wheel speed sensor - so therefor if i don't cough up the $1200 that toyota is asking, i won't have the safety features of abs or traction control on my car. i was driving on the highway when the abs, brake and traction control warning lights came on... they've been on for a week.. car is sitting at toyota now while i decide what to do
At interstate speeds and sometimes quick acceleration all the lights come on the dash and you lose all steering , it locks up this has happened several times , to my seventeen year old daughter she was lucky there was not a corner when it happened she would've shot straight off the road . there needs to be a recall on this i have looked it up and there has been several complaints of this same issue on the rav4s and several other toyota's. if i knew this issue was a problem i would not of purchased this car for my daughter.
The sun visor will not stay up. this is a safty issue while driving.
Burning oil. i have to put oil all the time. mechanics said car can't fix because the engine is the problem. i can only change the engine because it is a manufacturer problems. the car burn gas as well.

Slowing down at an intersection and brakes start to fail when i'm almost fully stopped and then the car continues to move forward when going less than 5mph
Suspension recall by toyota dealership keeps on being delayed. dealer continues to use the excuse that the parts are not available and are slow to take action.
My truck has had 4 incidents of dangerously low oil levels. toyota has service bulletins out regarding oil consumption and my model of the 2006 toyota rav4 regarding faulty pistons and rings. i have brought my truck to toyota 4 times for this issue and toyota refuses to fix the problem under my warranty stating that i am out of warranty even though my first complaint was 10/13/13 and my warranty expired jan 2013 t-sb-0094-11 is the toyota service bulletin. *tr
When placed in reverse gear car bolts or jumps. loud noise. either reverse gear or transmission is faulty. has gotten worse over the years.
Driver side visor started dropping down in front of my face. won't stay up. blocks drivers view ahead of car. very dangerous. started @ 60,000 miles.
My 2006 toyota rav4 limited edition, i heard a clunking noise coming from the front steering column each time i turned the wheel right or left. the noise occurs only when you turn the steering and it is a clunking noise along with a vibration in the steering when you turn the wheel. this has been an ongoing problem and when i brought it up with the toyota dealership the attendant said that it wasn't an issue. the problem isn't going away and the noise and clunky feeling when turning steering has been increasing. the problem started when the car was about 40k miles (out of warranty @ 36k). few mechanics from other places looked at it and said it need to be fixed asap. i read blogs and noticed many of these vehicle have similar issues. i hope toyota won't wait until an accident happen because of the problem.
Rav 4 year 2006 has had a number of jumping to 500 rpm while at idle or slowing down. the car has been to dealer four times without and they could not fix the problem. *tr
My sunvisor would not stay up. the problem got worse. while i'm driving if i hit a bump it falls into my veiw.
Soon after i purchased my 2006 toyota rav4 limited edition, i heard a clunking noise coming from the front steering column each time i turned the wheel right or left. the noise occurs only when you turn the steering and it is a clunking noise along with a vibration in the steering when you turn the wheel. this has been an ongoing problem and when i brought it up with the toyota dealership the attendant said that it wasn't an issue. the problem isn't going away and the noise and clunky feeling when turning steering has been increasing. 3 mechanics from non-toyota dealerships looked at my car on three separate occasions and documented the noise as a defect in the car that needs to be fixed. one mechanic told me that i could lose control of steering if i do not fix the problem. i recently took my car into my tire dealer for a tire rotation and the mechanic noticed the problem right away and said that i need to get it fixed asap. this has been a problem since i bought the car and is obviously a recall situation that toyota has yet to take responsibility for. please advise.
Bought a brand new car. whenever it rains, water comes down the center console and makes a puddle on the passenger side foot well. *jb
When using the dryer in a car wash the hard spare tire cover was blown off the spare tire and bashed against the vehicle and then the ground severely scratching it and cracking it. had it no completely come off at that point it is probable that it would have flown off into the from of any following vehicle had i been traveling down a busy road potentially causing an accident. these items should "never" come of under normal use conditions. this is a serious potential accident source as well as a potential source of a law suit against the owner operator of the vehicle. in addition it is hard and can cause windshield damage to any following vehicles and should never come off when properly attached. *nm
