Tl*the contact owns a 2006 toyota prius. the seat belt latch would not connect and secure the contact in the vehicle. he made numerous attempts to fasten the seat belt over the course of two days, but the seat belt failed to function properly. all of the other seat belts in the vehicle are operating normally. the dealer will diagnose the failure on february 1, 2008. the failure mileage was 40,100 and current mileage was 40,200.

The "center" seat belt buckle that the lap belt would buckle into is not installed in the proper location - it is installed on the one of the side seats. we took the car to the dealer twice and both times they told us all the 2006 prius' were manufactured that way and it could not be fixed - this is a huge safety issue because you can not use the seat belts properly. *jb
