Takata recall. stone mountain toyota has been extremely unresponsive in my efforts to get the takata recall on my vehicle accomplished. my vehicle was purchased at this dealership and they seem to try to delay or impede the process of replacing the affected part. they claim, from the beginning, that i must leave my vehicle with them overnight to get the work done. i know that the actual repair time is 10 minutes and that the dealer has up to 1 1/2 hours to do the work, also, the fact that i made an appointment for the work to be done so that they can schedule the necessary personnel to complete the work should be adequate for them to do the work needed. my appointment was march 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm and when i arrived they informed me that the car had to be left at the dealership overnight. this is unacceptable since i need the vehicle to go to work. they make no effort to complete the repairs in a reasonable time frame. the address for stone mountain toyota is 4400 us highway 78, lilburn, ga 30047 and their phone number is 770-736-0030.

Toyota recall: takata air bag inflator purchased dec 2 2016 at ron carter cadillac. at time of purchase i asked if it had any takata parts. answer was no. no mention of inflators being takata! called toyota to see if it had any recalls last spring and i was told i would receive any recall notice... i asked again if any takata parts and was told no again but would be contacted if so in future if recalls. so toyota did know they were on my vehicle ! i am disabled from back injury permanently and need to have a safe car. please contact me at [xxx] for further information.. there has been so much about takata airbags and inflators - how can they hide information and give out false info when questioned !!! fortunately no incidents so far !!! i will update my complaint when i can. will put in today's date as recall was on cbs news this evening 1/9/2018. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Takata recall--car make and model are listed on recall list--local toyota dealer says no--but don't trust that statement. checked with colonial toyota, indiana pa 15701--was repeatedly told no.

The airbag light has been coming on every day for over 3 months.

Preowned 2013 toyota corolla in this car have a carfax report that says in 2 previous accidents the air bags never deployded. as its 3rd owner purchased with 46958miles i have noticed that i the vehicle brakes to hard. and when i step lightly on the brake it continues to drive till i step harter on the brake. its hardly noticeable and to catch. 3rd ishu is that when i us the ac it uses too much fule. also with the ac turned off it is still blowing out cool air at a low level that could be sensed by placing your hands by the air vents.

Takata recall this recall came out in may, and i cannot even have anyone sit in the front seat, as there is a risk if there is a front impact that metal shards will go into the occupants face from the airbag.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. while driving 55 mph, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guardrail. the vehicle rolled over. the air bags failed to deploy. a police report was filed. minor injuries were sustained, but did not require medical attention. the vehicle was towed to a yard and was not diagnosed. the manufacturer was not notified of the air bag failure. the failure mileage was 51,000.

I had a very bad accident on 8-11-2016 my car is total loss. my airbag did not deploy.

When the passenger seat is occupied by an adult and the charging port is used, the passenger side airbag deactivates. even though the seat belt is fastened and the passenger seat is occupied, the fasten seat belt light comes on, the passenger airbag shows off, and the airbag light on the dash comes on. i took it to the toyota dealership and they could not replicate the problem. i plugged in a charger for a cell phone in order to replicate the problem. the service adviser saw the lights come on. the service adviser contacted toyota assistance and was told that they are aware of the issue and have no current fix for the problem. this is a safety issue that deactivates the passenger side airbag on the vehicle. they mentioned that they have approximately 20 complaints for this issue, yet they are not able to fix the problem. the only solution given at this point is to not use the charging ports while the passenger seat is occupied.

On wednesday, july 30, 2014 i was driving on i-5 south bound, just before cannon road exit. traffic was going at 35-40 mph, however, at times coming to complete stops. traffic was very slow ahead so i brake and came near a complete stop. i looked in the rearview mirror and noticed the car behind me approaching at a very high speed, i was constrained on both sides and unable to move to avoid an accident. the car rear-ended me at a high speed and within seconds pushed me at a high speed into the car in front of me, i did brace for the impact but the seatbelt never tensioned or locked and no airbags deployed in my vehicle even though my front end was impacted severely. i put my arms up and twisted my body to the left in order to protect myself. i used my own body as a protection. i am currently being treated for whiplash and shoulder pain due to no active or passive system in the car being deployed. i consider this a very serious safety concern and want to ensure it is addressed as soon as possible to prevent others from having to go through an accident with no active or passive restraints working. *tr..updated 12/09/15 *bf updated 08/28/2017*ct

Toyota corolla was traveling down the road at approx. 30 to 35 miles per hour, when another older small car came through an intersection and hit the corolla on the driver side, smashing in the doors and causing the corolla to spin around the intersection and face the opposite direction. side doors and quarter panels were damaged as well as wheels, plus rear axle assembly was broken causing the rear passenger wheel to be bent at an angle. the car was not able to be driven from the scene. at the time of the accident no airbags were deployed. the driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to the hospital for injuries. most injuries to the head, neck, arm, side and legs healed after three weeks, accept for a should injury causing difficulty in rotating arm. further mris and or surgery may be needed if injury and inflammation does not heal. concern is that airbags did not deploy, and that now with new sensors being added during the $10,000 repair job, concern is that the airbags themselves were defective. *tr
