Called toyota south atlanta (6865 jonesboro rd, morrow, ga 30260 | (770) 961-0225) to make an appointment on 7/2 for the airbag recall, said will send a message to the recall specialist, they will check inventory status, then give me a call back to make appointments. no returned call. 7/12 called once more and receptionist said the e-mail was sent once more. "due to the large amount of e-mails, response may be slow", so i waited. 7/23 called once more, the recall specialist wasn't in and was told to call back the next day. 7/24 called one last time and ended up talking to the regional manager, who said would find out the situation and call me back but never did. i am starting to think that toyota south atlanta is just using this method to avoid any warranty repairs without having to verbally reject the repairs... you can contact me at 404-451-6292 and i will be happy to answer any questions you may have. thank you.

Takata recall. this complaint is regarding how long it is taking for a remedy for this recall to become available to me. seriously it's been months and if the propellant has actually killed and injured people then i need to get my car fixed as soon as possible so i am not putting myself and my passengers at risk.

I received the recall notice from toyota. on october 9, toyota, pharr, texas location replaced the airbag on the passenger side. your website states that if the airbag, deemed defective, were to deploy, would cause harm to the occupants of the car. does this mean that if the airbag on the drivers side, is not defective, and thus, on impact, would not shoot deadly schrapnel onto the occupant????? somehow, it seems that if the passenger side is defective, would not the drivers side airbag also be defective?

Takata recall there was no problem with the vehicle. this solely involves the nature of the recall. the 16v340000 recall does not provide for recall of 2011 corollas that were sold and registered in zone c. yet many owners live in the zone a area for part of the year typically for 4,5, or 6 months or more. if they did not change the registration to florida for example the vehicle would not be recalled yet would have been subject to zone a conditions for part of the year. in my case it has been six months for the last four years and four months for one year. i cannot find out if my vehicle has a takata airbag and, if it does is it one with the defective inflator.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 toyota corolla. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v340000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. toyota portland in portland, oregon was made aware of the recall and stated that the parts were unavailable. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall vehicle has been sitting at dealership awaiting fix for over 2 months, and has had an open recall for almost 2 years. owner has had multiple conversations with dealership, and there is no guaranteed time-frame for repairs. owner is still paying monthly payments and insurance on vehicle, even though she is not currently in possession, nor able to drive the vehicle safely. owner has also been notified that she is not able to resell the vehicle in it's current "defective" state, thus decreasing the value of the car over 2 years.

Takata recall i have received, by mail ( usps) that my toyota is subject to a recall for front airbag inflators, and filing a complaint is necessary to to reach a settlement.

Takata recall my car is the toyota corolla 2011 and has been affected by the recall of the passenger airbag. it is highly susceptible to moisture humidity in fluctuating temperatures especially high temperatures. when i first bought this car i was living in dana point california which is right on the ocean literally i could see the ocean from my house and it has lots of moisture fluctuating high temperatures and humidity. i am now living in bellevue washington which also has fluctuating high temperatures lots of moisture and this is what is susceptible to this airbag defect. i am a single mom and worried about the safety of my child of my nine-year-old son driving him around in my car. i did not know about this defect and have had people in the front seat many times risking their own life and their safety numerous times. i have even been in the passenger seat many times in my car risking my own life not even knowing it. i am unemployed and wanted to work for uber or lyft and was unable to do to my car safety regulations and have lost so much time and money due to my car's safety. no solution has come up until now all these years and time i have lost so much money by not being able to drive my car and i also wanted to become a nanny but was unable to do to my cars defects. i have no money to buy another car and struggle to pay my rent and provide for my son having no job and not even being able to drive my car barely at all. luckily nothing serious has happened because i have to drive my car scared everytime i get behind the wheel does somebody might run into me and i could injure myself for my son. when i put every dollar into buying my car i had no idea that i would be putting myself in my son at risk every day for death. i would like to be compensated over the past four years for all of the money and wages that i have lost.

Takata recall; not being addressed in timely fashion. checked website, corolla 2011 has takata airbags but recall hasn't started yet.

Takata recall. i have been waiting for toyota to replace my airbag for over two years but i do not see any action from toyota. i do not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat due to the fear of serious injury or death if the situation arise to the deployment of the airbag. this is so bad and hope something can be done to get this corrected.

On four separate occasions (while car was in motion and in park) my front passenger seat alarm was alerting me to buckle up but i am always the only one in the car/no one is riding in front passenger seat. on that same side (front/right) an air bag panel keeps popping out/will not stay in place and i am very afraid there is a recall on my car and no one is aware of it. would like to figure out how serious this is. including a picture as well....please and thanks!

Takata recall; toyota has not provided a remedy for my vehicle and i received the recall notice may 2016. they have failed to provide a remedy in a timely matter. vehicle is unsafe and very dangerous to drive.

Takata recall - no remedy has been available for years...i keep checking on this periodically but no remedy is ever available

Takata recal: i have been told a year ago that these airbags will get especially dangerous around september of 2017. we are almost there and my dealer says the replacement airbags are not available. what can i do? i live in a hot humid place where the airbags degrade fast. would the dealer remove the airbag without putting in the replacement?

Takata recall information-no accident yet. just registering for the takata recall.

Takata inflators: i received a notice of possible metal fragments coming through the airbag once it deploys over a year ago and there is yet to be a remedy to replace the airbags. this is putting myself and my children in danger if any crash was to occur and this is our primary vehicle. it should not take this long to provide a remedy for replacement and even local dealerships are not educated on the recall.

Takata recall, i have recieved two different pieces of mail about th air bags. i drive on the highway about 60 miles round trip for work. i feel as if the air bags being deployed and a possibility of metal coming out is a big deal for me. i live in florida where it is very humid and constant high temperatures. i think the airbags should be replaced accordingly consider the risk of serious injury.

Takata rcall how come toyota can't replace air bags but nissan can. read this online today. owners of about 4.4 million nissan vehicles with potentially defective takata air bags are eligible for financial aid in getting their cars fixed and up to $500 in compensation under the terms of a new consumer settlement. the deal comes after similar agreements between takata air bag vehicle owners and toyota, bmw, mazda and subaru.. among the possible benefits for current and former owners of the nissan vehicles: 'payments of up to $500 apiece. Takata recall i have concerns that this recall was in may 2016 and that there is still no solution (august 2017). it was recommended that no one ride in the front passenger seat until the problem is resolved. this renders a family car essentially useless. is there any intention to fix the problem?

The car displays hazard lights for the engine and safe road handling as though the roads are icy or slippery during the summer months in dry weather. the lights are on for weeks prior to shutting-off. toyota failed to fix the recall on the airbags. the never notified of what could be a life risking hazard.

Takata inflators, the recall was started on may 23, 2016. i never received a notification of the recall, and it is now august 8, 2017 and the recall as yet to have a remedy and be fixed.

Takata recall toyota has not come up with a solution.i have not been notified to take my car for airbag replacement recall since 5/23/16

Takata recall - it is ridiculous that toyota / takata has yet to offer a fix for this life threatening issue! the corolla is not a large vehicle to begin with and not only is my family prohibited from using the front passenger seat, there is no part of the vehicle that is safe if shrapnel is ejected from the airbag. this is absolutely not what i paid for!!!

Takata recall manufacture recall # g1p, nhtsa recall # 16v340 recall initiated may 23, 2016. date of complaint june 27, 2017. recall incomplete, remedy not yet available after 1 year and 1 month. vehicle is unsafe to drive with passenger in the front passenger seat. recall is taking too long, vehicle is unsafe.
