We have classified the 47 complaints from 2007 Toyota Camry about POWER TRAIN into the following categories.
Leaving home in my 2009 toyota camry; while pulling out of my driveway (forward, not reverse) the accelerator stuck in a high rpm mode; the car bolted across the street, hit a ditch and caused major damage to my car including air bag deployment; all this happened while i was trying to brake, but the stuck accelerator was at too high an rpm for the car to stop. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry hybrid. the contact was driving approximately 2 mph in reverse on a slight incline in the driveway. the hybrid system overheated warning light and master warning light indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. while pressure was applied on the accelerator pedal there was no power response. unexpectedly, the vehicle rolled forward with the gear shifter in the reverse position. the engine was turned off. the vehicle restarted after waiting a period of eight to ten minutes and resumed normally. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection on four separate occasions for the identical failures. the technician stated the problem was a natural characteristic of the vehicle. the failure continued to occur. the failure mileage was 34,717.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. while the vehicle was in the start position, the contact stated that the gear shift would not move from park to drive gear. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the failure could not be reproduced. the contact previously noticed that the gear selector would hesitate when shifting between gears. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 28000 and the current mileage was 35000.
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) 2007 camry accelerates at a whim for 2-3 seconds. it happens very in frequent, the last time about 3-4 months ago. has been taken to dealer and they state can not do anything, unless it happens or is reproduced for them. i reported this by phone to nhtsa but have not gotten any feed back as i was told i would receive and e-mail and follow up letter. 2007 toyota camry 4cyl 5sp - hesitates upon normal acceleration - ongoing. *tr
2007 camry xle. problems with hesitation when accelerating. the dealership just blew me off when i explained the problem. acted as if this was never a problem with camrys. also have had problems with steering column's radio controls - when pressing the appropriate buttons, nothing would happen or, when seeking stations that were programmed in, the down or up buttons would jump to other stations not programmed. since this problem is erratic, nothing was done by dealer. problems with the outdoor temperature gauge - at times, it would take 15-20 minutes before the temperature would change to the correct one. example: it read 77 degrees when it was actually in the mid-90s. dealership did repair this last summer but now, it is reading seven+ degrees off the actual outdoor temperature. the final problem with this car is that the paint is chipping off of the frame area below the doors of the car. this has never happened with any previous car i have owned. dealer attributed it to the fact that this car is the sport version so it rides lower. first toyota i have owned and it looks like it may be my last. *tr
2007 toyota camry ce transmission problems - hesitation with 4 cylinder engine. upon accelerating to merge in traffic on interstate, transmission hesitated on the on ramp which almost caused another vehicle to rearend my vehicle. i was going approximately 40 - 45 mph prior to acceleration when my vehicle hesitated causing my speed to decrease considerably. in turn, the vehicle following me at about a car length and a half back came close to rearending my vehicle. this hesitation has occurred numerous times since i purchased the vehicle. spoke with the dealer on several occasions as well as toyota motor corp and was told that it is a known problem with no fix. this is a huge safety risk and should be corrected or the vehicle recalled. thank you for your time and consideration. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. while driving 50 mph the vehicle would not accelerate. also intermittently the vehicle will accelerate without application of the accelerator pedal. the dealer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 47553. the current mileage was 50001. updated 03/04/10. *lj the consumer also stated the vehicle was very slow when she attempted to accelerate onto the highway. it would hesitate and then kink up to 80 mph. there was condensation in the headlights. updated 06/14/10. *jb
Had accident in 2007 toyota camry. vehicle hesitated as i had accelerated to go around a truck to avoid hitting it. this car hesitates about 2 to 3 seconds before taking off. when car does take off it goes to fast and can make a driver lose control. this car also shakes or vibrate when you accelerate to speeds of 60 to 65mph. steering is a problem when car hesitate then takes off, this is when you can lose control. passing and changing lanes can be a problem when acceleration is needed. this car can be very dangerous. there's nothing wrong with the speedometer, i guess it's the transmission or whatever part that controls the car take off speed. *tr
Vehicle retains cruise control speed in memory even after applying brakes and stopping. goes back to cruise control speed instead of responding to gas pedal and rams into the vehicle in front. vehicle revs up and down for no reason when in cruise control even when traveling on flat terrain/freeway. complaints to local toyota dealer did not help until the accident, did an upgrade to the software which has helped but little, problem still remains. *tr
I was driving down an open road at a moderate speed (about 40 mph). the vehicle suddenly began to accelerate. i stepped on the brake pedal but this only caused the engine to rev. i continued to press on the brake pedal with a great deal of force and was eventually with difficulty able to bring the vehicle to a stop even though the engine continued to be revving very high. i put the car in park and turned off the engine. after waiting for a few seconds, i turned the vehicle back on again. the engine was still revving out of control. i turned the vehicle back off and waited a few seconds then tried again. the engine was still revving very high. on the third or fourth try of this cycle, the engine finally started normally. i was then able to drive away at a normal speed. i took the vehicle to a toyota dealer on 6/18/09. they checked it with a scan tool and did a road test but could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. this was a one-time event and has never happened again. the dealer said that the problem was likely caused by a floor mat but i find this simply impossible to believe. i checked the pedals after stopping the car and they were not obstructed in any way. *tr
2007 toyota camry 4 cylinder randomly hesitates on take off. causes a hazard when entering heavy traffic from a stop or near zero acceleration point. also drags and seems to pull on engine when in a coasting situation. it first did this around 6800 miles. dealer did a software update to correct the issue. now it's doing it again at 30, 000 miles and dealer says there's nothing they can find wrong. *tr
On april 22, 2009, an oil line part #15707-31030 ruptured on our 2007 toyota camry vin very rapidly pumping oil from the engine and requiring immediate repair. since april 2009, while investigating reimbursement for repair costs, several toyota service representatives from local dealerships stated that toyota has identified this model engine in avalon vehicles as having this same ruptured oil line defect as occurred on my vehicle. since july 2009 while seeking reimbursement for engine repairs with toyota customer service, i requested that this issue be pursued internal to identify this defect through technical bulletin or recall for camry vehicles. on january 6, 2010, i spoke to miguel lopez, supervisor, toyota customer experience, department wc10, toyota motor sales, u.s.a., reference this issue and he stated very clearly that "no action or follow-up" phone calls or other communication would be taken by his office to investigate this safety issue with camry?s. he stated that safety concerns would have to be taken through a local dealership. mr. lopez stated he was the senior supervisor and he would not connect me to any other supervisor or point of contact within toyota. *tr
As i was pulling into the curb to park, my 2007 toyota camry accelerated and crashed into a building in quakertown, pa. i put it into reverse and stopped the car. damage to the brick building was extensive. property damage amounted to $14,500 and auto damage at $750. replacement parts were installed in the auto. brickwork and interior damage was taken care of. *tr
2007 camry v6 with auto transmission has had numerous problems with downshifting and upshifting constantly when not needed, hesitating when accelerator is pressed down. also, the car sometimes surges when between gears, and then downshifts very very hard. the dealer has had all of toyotas tsb's applied for all of these problems, but they still exist. there needs to be some other fix for these problems. *tr
I have a 2007 camry 4cyldr automatic, that has problems accelerating. this usually happens at least once a day. for example if i take off from a red light or a stop, the car will hesitate like it is stalling and then will proceed to take off. this is an inconsistent problem that when i complained at the dealership they could not reproduce the problem. the other example is that the car exhibits is that when you take your foot off the gas pedal the car will slow down but as you re-apply your foot the car will hesitate or stall until you remove your foot and re-apply it. i have 60000 miles on my car and it has had all the timely services done to it. it has been a great car up until about a year ago when the problem began. roughly 45000 miles ago. i fear that this may result in an inability to drive defensively and result in an accident. neither my wife nor i are aggressive drivers, and we don't feel that this is as a result of harsh driving. i did take the car into the dealer to find out if it was part of the gas pedal recall that is going on and they said that it was not. i hope that toyota will make a timely decision on this as i had hoped to purchase another toyota in the future. *tw
Vvti line in 2007 toyota camry with 63000 miles burst out of the blue. engine oil everywhere. part not in stock, will take 3 weeks for part to come in. *tr
There is a few seconds delay when depressing the accelerator pedal on my '07 camry se. i have mentioned this problem with the car from the very beginning to others who say they also have that issue with their camry. any delay in acceleration is a safety hazard on the highway. now with all the defects that toyota seems to have been denying with the acceleration system i realize it is even more grave. *tr
Soon after purchasing the car, we discovered a terrible problem with the cars acceleration. it only happened intermittently; when you were slowing then had to accelerate quickly. pressing the gas pedal would result a long hesitation. this very often put the driver in danger. soon after the purchase, we took the car into the toyota dealer. they told us that the car was operating as designed with the new computer system that adjusts to drivers habits. we have been living with this problem for almost 2 years now, and have decided to get rid of the car. prior to selling it, i did a search on the internet looking to see if anyone else was experiencing the problem. i found an article at this consumer affairs link. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/10/toyota_accelerate.html. *tr
My 2007 camry le v6 only has 23,000 miles on it and the transmission hesitated when accelerating. the gear does not shift and the car slows down. very scary. almost got hit on freeway when it did this. *tr
2007 camry had hesitation problem, dealership reset the computer, it was ok for a few months. after the few months the car has the hesitation problem again. hard to accelerate, does not like to go when you try to pull out or when you try to change lanes. *tr
I have noticed these sometimes dangerous behaviors by my car and its transmission: + when i brake, instead of down shifting, the transmission shifts up and causes the car to roll faster ' accelerating. + on a downhill slope, sometimes the transmission downshifts unexpectedly and causes the car to suddenly slow. + downshifting from 4th gear to 3rd is a hard shift. + especially dangerous is when i accelerated (highway merge lane) and the transmission up-shift hesitates. i am very concerned about the transmissions unpredictable shifting performance. most recently when i was merging onto an interstate, as i approached the merging speed, the transmission hesitated as i accelerated, and i was unable to merge safely ' i had to pull onto the emergency lane to avoid a collision. the sudden up-shifting when i apply the brakes has caused several close calls of a rear end collision. the sudden downshifting on a slope has caused me to lose control on snow-covered roadways. *tr
My transmission hesitates at @35mph. toyota says it's a no-fix. it is a dangerous situation to not know when this will happen. it's bound to cause an accident at some point. this is a constant situation since i bought the car in june 2006, and it now has 32,000 miles. it occurs constantly. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry. the contact stated that the vehicle shut off twice while driving various speeds. while the vehicle was stopped and about to make a left turn, the engine revved and the vehicle did not move. suddenly, the transmission engaged and the speed drastically increased. the contact sped through a traffic light. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they reset the computer. a couple of weeks later, the vehicle revved up again and accelerated. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer once again and they rechecked the computer, but found no failures. the dealer could not duplicate the failure and offer further assistance. the failure mileage was 32,000.
Intermittently, the vehicle will not respond to the throttle. the problem happens frequently, particularly when i brake and decelerate from above 30mph, then make a turn, such as exiting an off ramp, at about 5-20 mph, i press the accelerator to accelerate out of the turn, and the throttle does not respond for about 3 to 15 seconds. i consider this a serious safety issue where i cannot depend on the vehicle responding to the throttle allowing me to control the vehicle. this problem happens under other circumstances, and is completely unpredictable, but the above scenario is the most consistent. i took the vehicle to toyota for this issue for the second time and was told: '..that is the way it is..' and "..this is how the fly-by-wire system works in the camry.." by the service tech of power toyota irvine on tuesday apr 29. he acknowledged that it is a safety issue and encouraged me to speak with the tech robert who knows how to work around the issue by manipulating the throttle and recommended that i complain directly to toyota. he also mentioned that if i bug toyota, they will be motivated to '.. fix the software, put a new computer in it, or take care of you some other way..' *tr
When pressing the accelerator petal the car doesn't pick up speed from a stop. it is delayed. another incident occurred when i was stopped at a traffic light the car went it to neutral. but the final straw was when i had parked on my drive way(4/25/08) which is sort of a incline i had put my car in park and as a extra safety precaution i pressed my emergency brake upon doing so the car malfunctioned and switched gears and rolled down my driveway pulling me under as i stepped out the car and running over my foot crushing it. when the car was taken to the dealership that said there must have been a computer error which they then reset the system. *tr
After taking my camry xle into the dealer for a "check vsc system" warning on the dash, and some unusual shifting and hesitation, they said it was taken care of. the problem came back within a few days and worsened. while on the freeway the transmission completely gave out and the car was completely immobile, with only 30,000 on the car. dealer sent away for a new transmission and replaced it with a note that it had been soaked in an unknown fluid, and their could be some residual liquid in the new transmission. the "check vsc light" still flicks on occasionally at start up. *tr
I have toyota camry le 4-cyl for approx. 1 yr now and it constantly hesitates when i am driving or if i am at a stop and try to pull off. my car have been in 3 accidents because my car fail to acelerate when needed from a stop sign. i have gotten to the point i am constantly looking in my rear view because i am so afraid i am going to get hit from the back of my car. i have called the dealer on numerous occasions and was told it has something to do with the relay system of some sort, but no problem that is the way the '07's operate. there definitely should be some type of recall by now. what is it going to take for me or someone else life. *tr
This vehicle was purchased used from hertz corp. during the test drive we noticed a hesitation when attempting to accelerate at speeds between 25 and 45 mph. we also drove another 2007 camry with higher mileage and it did not have the hesitation problem. we asked hertz to have a toyota dealer check out the problem. the computer was 'fixed' with a software update. the problem still occurred so it was taken to another dealer. everything was 'ok'. the statement was made by that toyota service adviser that the computer uses a program to determine the driving habits of each driver and the hesitation problem would 'self correct'. yeah right. we purchased the lower mileage vehicle, and have driven almost another 5,000 miles, however the problem did not 'self correct'; in fact it appears to have worsened. the vehicle was again taken to a third toyota service department on march 24, 2008 with the same verbal footwork that it's a drive-by-wire system and nothing can be done to correct what i consider to be a potentially dangerous condition. some day i may need to accelerate hard to avoid an accident or whatever and i would like to have instant acceleration instead of a 1-3 second delay. considering the high tech systems available to the automotive industry, i find it unconscionable that toyota cannot fix the problem. i've reviewed the nhtsa complaints web site, edmonds, and other sites and find this problem is pervasive with other toyota vehicles. i'm requesting that a defects investigation be initiated to analyze and develop a solution to this problem before this throttle/transmission hesitation issue results in injury or death. *tr
I purchased a 2007 toyota camry in sept. 2006. after driving the car for several days, with less than a 1000 miles, i realized that there was a serious problem with acceleration; delayed accelerations when trying to attain speed, when driving around 40 miles the car performs like a manual transmission that requires shifting down to a lower gear to gain speed, and when driving on an incline there is a noticeable drop in speed. i reported the problem to dick dyer toyota, the dealership where i purchased the car. on or about the third visit i was told that they had received a computer update to correct the problem. after the update the problem persisted. i continued to complain. to summarize the ordeal, i complained to toyota's national center for dispute settlement. the matter went into arbitration. in the hearing i had one other person, and the name of five (5) other people who owned 2007toyota camry who were experiencing the same problems. the toyota representative, regina williams agreed that she had heard the same concerns that i have from other customers. being an owner of two previous toyota camrys i compared the performance. ms. williams said the cars could not be compared, that the car is performing the way it s suppose to, and that it is just engineered different. the outcome from the arbitration side with ms. williams/ toyota, saying that the vehicle is operating according to manufacturer's specifications; that there is no defect but is a characteristic of the particular make and model. i am very discouraged and don't believe i should have to pay price for poor engineering. all i wanted was a new car. no one has been injured in my automobile so far. but i feel awful ly insecure when driving, particular on interstate. this is a serious problem and i don't want to wait for something to happen for people to understand the poor engineering of this particular model.thank you for you attention to this matter. *tr
Toyota camry ce manual transmission. when car is in first gear driving about 10-15mph and pedal is released car accelerates on its own then, even after pedal is released, then when brake is applied the car jerks back and fourth. this mostly occurs when car is first turned on. dealership says, and i quote "it is normal and makes me feel like i don't know how to drive a stick shift" due to the jerking. *tr
2007 toyota camry le, 5-speed, 4-cylinder has a drivetrain problem. when moving slowly from a stop, attempting to pull into traffic requiring rapid acceleration results in no response/acceleration from the engine. the car can take up to 5-seconds to respond. this is highly dangerous and i wonder why i haven't already been killed in this car!! there is a major problem with acceleration. toyota simply says "that's the way it works, it's trying to anticipate your actions." this is an unacceptable answer. the transmission i am told is a controlled electronically and toyota apparently has screwed up the software. this is a dangerous car. *tr
3-4 second delay in response time when making a fast lane change - enough time to cause a serious accident. this happened once in heavy city traffic and once in the evening when there was little traffic. the dealership performed an ecm calibration enhancement to correct another problem of hesitation with the acceleration & then a quick surge forward. this was performed after the first incident; however, it did not correct my current problem as the hesitation happened again (the 2nd time) after the calibration. discussed this at length with the dealership. i was informed that the ecm calibration was the only "fix" provided to them and that since i still had the problem, i would have to be very careful to not press the accelerator quickly to make a fast getaway as the computer is not able to pick up the signal that quickly. they could only suggest that i never press the accelerator quickly - try that one when you have to move out of the way fast. i am not trying to make something more of this than it is. there are some much more serious problems reported on the internet than this one. however, it is serious. when you cannot get gas when you need it, it is serious. there is apparently a problem with their electronics. *tr
The car hesitates un-expectantly when trying to accelerate. this is an on going problem and is random. several times this condition has nearly cause an accident. dealer cannot fix problem but acknowledges it is a problem. *tr
I purchased a 2007 toyota camry on december 24, 2006. on monday, february 11, 2008 i shifted the car into reverse and put my foot on the gas, the car didn't move. it revved but didn't move. i shifted to drive and second with the same result. i brought the car in to toyota in hempstead, ny on feb. 18. they fixed it by "reprogramming the computer,: and returned the car to me, saying it was fine. the problem occurred again on saturday, february 23. i asked about getting a new transmission because i have read a lot of information that this particular transmission is bad. i would like toyota to recall and replace all of these transmissions. i would hate to have an accident or for anyone else to have an accident because of a transmission malfunction. *tr
I have a 2007 4cyl toyota camry and on occasion it will hesitate when accelerating. generally occurs only when moving at very slow rate of speed and accelerate to pull quickly into traffic. have returned to dealer at least 3 times. they say it is "normal" and can not get it to happen so cannot fix. they have applied tsb but did not seem to correct. quit asking for repair but now see issues with sticking accelerator and wonder if this is another toyota cover up!! *tw
Ongoing problem with my 2007 camry sedan le i am feeling and hearing vibration and noise coming from underneath the seat this has been back and forth to dealership and reported to toyota motor sales, the dealer and motor sales told me that this is normal with these types of cars. i find this hard to believe i have researched on consumer reports and found alot of problems with the transmission. i need this resolved and need to know if it the transmission shouldn't this be covered under my warranty? i know toyota does not want to hear this complaint as it would interfere in there great report on how they are a great gas saving car, but what will it take to have this resolved hopefully not a fatality. *tr
2007 toyota camry le, 4 cyl, 5-spd automatic trans=these cars should be recalled; mine stumbles, hesitates, shifts too soon or not at all, acts like it will stall, clunks/snaps/shutters when shifting from/to park/reverse/drive. these cars(mine included) are putting people in dangerous situations. my dealer (twice) tried to "reprogram the computer software" but the car still acts up!!! make toyota do something before myself & others get killed !!!! *tr
2007 camry hesitation. fixed twice so far at dealership. dangerous in traffic, occurs all of the time. *tr****
Hesitation, surge. *tr
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry hybrid. when the contact attempted to drive the vehicle up an incline at a low speed of 5 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate and the engine was non- responsive. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that the failure could not be reproduced. there were no prior warnings. the current and failure mileages were 28900. updated 3/17/10 *cn the consumer stated the failure occurred after a full stop on s steep incline. when she removed her foot from the brake, and the apply the gas, the vehicle would not move. the vehicle had to be in neutral and then returned to drive. updated 07/01/10.*jb
The following e-mail was sent to you december 2007. "with all of the problems toyota is having with the 2007 camry transmissions, why have they not had a recall? the slip, buck and when you take your foot off of the gas pedal around 40 miles an hour, the car continues to go forward." why didn't you people do something years ago????????????? *tr
Near death incident because my 2007 4 cyl. camry le hesitated while trying to accelerate at an intersection. i have had numerous problems with the acceleration/transmission. when i complained to the dealership shortly after purchasing the car, i was told that it needed to be "broken in." *tr
I own a 2007 toyota camry, and i am having transmission problems. when i give my car a little gas it hesitate and then out of know where my car takes off. or when i am driving it seems if i am driving a 5 speed. i have to give my car more gas in order for it to go to the next gear. i should not be able to feel my car shifting gears. *tr
Tl*the contact owns 2007 toyota camry. while driving 25 mph, the vehicle hesitated and the rpms decreased when shifting gears. in addition, the failure would occur at various speeds. the dealer stated that an electronic programming issue caused the failure. the contact stated that they updated the programming; however, the failure continued to occur. the dealer stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. in addition, the computer may need to be replaced. as of february 1, 2008, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the failure mileage was 10,000 and current mileage was 13,000. the vin and engine size were unavailable.
I am reporting the same stagnation issue that many others reported on 2007 toyota camry. i bought this car in march 2006 and started noticing this issue within a month of driving. so far i had at least 12 instances of this. it happens when i try to accelerate suddenly to a higher speed. the car stalls for 20-40 seconds before it speed up. many time it pulled me into risk while at merging to a main road traffic and at intersections dealer has replaced a transmission control component but this is still happening. the email i got from toyota for my query says that "...the electronic throttle control monitors the everyday driving habits of the operator and then tailors itself to make the most efficient gearshifts. on rare occasions when the operator fully depresses the pedal or depresses the pedal in an aggressive manner, the system may experience a delay in determining how to make the optimal gearshift. at this time toyota has no plans to make changes to the shift characteristics of the transmission. to minimize this condition, we recommend trying a firm yet gradual application of the accelerator..." i am using the car for more than 18 months and the 'electronic throttle control monitor' has not succeeded in finding my normal driving habit and do the normal transmission shift yet as every driver expects. since toyota has no plan to do any action on this i urge you to do something for us. *tr
We own a 2007 toyota camry se and honestly don't know what to do at this point, our experience has been terrible. approximately november of 07, i was driving down the conejo grade in camarillo, california and started to feel like i was losing control of the car, i couldn't steer it and hit the brakes really hard to come to a stop without hitting any other vehicles. the car was towed to toyota who explained that the transmission needed to be replaced and the reason why i couldn't steer my car was something to do with how the transmission rotates the wheels and one wheel was pointed towards the right and one was where it should be. i could have been killed or hurt someone else and i was very upset especially after hearing that i wasn't the only one this has happened to. at this time i was told that my brakes were warped and i had to pay $180.00 to fix them, apparently when i hit my breaks real hard to try and stop the car without crashing i warped the breaks. this wasn't under warranty. i received the car back approximately a week later and was told they put in a new transmission. when i left the dealership the engine still didn't feel right it was lunging. so i brought the car back and they did a test drive with me in the car and of course it didn't do it. i have had off and on issues and now my maintenance light is on, after being at the dealership for the last 10 days with other issues. i have no trust or faith at this point with them. most of all, the car doing it's own driving with the transmission and the failing of mine could have killed me or someone else. how many complaints need to be made before someone gets hurt. the 2007 camry is a problem, and honestly i'm afraid to drive it at this point. *tr
2007 toyota camry would free wheel when foot is taken off the throttle. consumer's vehicle does not free wheel in traffic and states people behind him have to suddenly hit their brakes to avoid hitting him. *kb the consumer also stated when making a turn after slowing down to a few miles per hour and then applying pressure to the gas pedal, the vehicle would hardly accelerate for several seconds and then suddenly take off. the dealer corrected the problem slightly with recalibration. *jb
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 toyota camry purchased new in 2007. he stated that the vehicle would hesitate upon acceleration. when driving up a hill, the accelerator pedal was depressed to the floor and the vehicle would not accelerate. the vehicle drove as if it was low on fuel. the dealer could not duplicate the failure; however, he updated the computer module. the failure persisted. the current and failure mileages were under 28,000.
I'm writing to detail my issues with my 07 toyota camry v6. i have had it one year and the hesitation upon accelerating is still there even after a supposed 'fix' by my selling dealer. the tranny sometimes hesitates as much as 2-3 seconds b4 actually moving forward as intended. i also have extreme frustration with the interior plastics. the dash rattles more than my old 97 pontiac. the other major issue is the softness of the driver seat foam. i am due in 2 days for a re-foaming of the seat. hopefully that will firm it up a bit. one last point is the tires wore out by 13k on them making me spend over $300.00 for new rubber. not acceptable for a $25,000 car. *tr
