On the date in question, i was standing still at a red light. there was heavy rain. when the light turned green i proceeded through the intersection. the vehicle in front of me was approximately 5 car-lengths ahead of me. traffic suddenly came to an abrupt stop. i hit my brake, skidded the entire distance between myself and the vehicle stopped in front of me and hit it in the rear. my entire front-end was smashed in; the vehicle i hit was a late model ford explorer which sustained no damage. there were no injuries, however, my air bag did not deploy, my entire front end was demolished after proceeding a short distance at a low rate of speed. there were fluids leaking and smoke emanating from under the hood. the was declared by the police to be undriveable and had to be towed to a repair shop. *tr
