I had a passenger who remarked that there was a sulfur smell in passenger compartment of car when recirculation air is switched on. i had noticed it before but didn't know what to think about it. i've had lots of migraine headaches over the past 5 months. when i mentioned to a mechanic he said it was probably due to the sulfur dioxide poisoning me. *tr

I have a toyota solara, 2000. had to get engine replaced at 77,000 miles. now they say it needs $3800 in emission repairs. many other vehicles that have had engines replaced are now experiencing emission problems. this matter needs investigated!

Head gasket, loses in camshaft. *ak

Engine oil has a tendancy to get milky after 2,000 miles from previous oil change. steps taken to avoid this problem were as follows: 1. oil changes to semi synthetic or all synthetic oil. 2. change oil & filter at 2,000 mile intervals at sustained temperatures below freezing. 3. driving habits to avoid a series of short trips, by schudling 30-45 minute highway run weekly. ( when ever possible) i was alarmed by the re-occuring look of the oil and the dirty condition under the oil filler cap ( engine not hot enough, long enough?) . i took addition time to clean up the dirty appearence and change the oil earlier than 2,000 until the condition normalized. extended runs on the highway also helped the condition of the oil over the 2,000 mile interval. especially with the harsh 2002/2003 winter in the northeast us.

While traveling on the highway the vehicle shut down. without prior warning the dealership is aware of the problem.

Consumer states that when the oil in the coolant system gets extremely hot then cold, this results in oil jellint. the oil cannot flow threw the fuel pump, causing the engine to fail. dealer contacted. ts
